Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I first of all ordered carpet that was 15 ft. wide because my room is 14 ft. 6 and they sent 12 ft. wide and said they would not reorder it.

Then when they did the tile they did not finish the door ways to the other rooms tile is uneven and sharp edges.

Grout coming out of tile in many places.

The tile has random shades and they put two of the same shades together and try to tell me this is standard and it is not.

entry door was not finished, and no grout was put in along woodwork.

No left over tile and now it has been discontinued, and I was suppose to have 2 and 1/2 boxes extra, and do not have any so if I have any damage to a tile I do not have any to replace it.

This company has been in business for over 30 years and I can not beleive this company can stay in business and still be takeing advantage of customers and getting away with it.

The last conversation I had with Karen at Dolphin in Boca she said to us she did not care what we wanted they have gotten all of there money and hung up on us.

Since then I have filed a grevience against them and my credit card it is goinng on 4 months now and the job is still not finished.

This company can not be trusted. including the Sales person at the Oakland Park Store named Arnez . Stubbs.

Dolphin Carpet & Tile Are Incompetent

Dolphin advertises on television that they get it right.... What a crock!

This company cannot properly install tile - especially marble tile!

They tried installing marble tile in my home's master bath, get this TWICE!

It still is not correct & Jeff and the rest of them are liars & cheats!

They would not install the tile the way it is supposed to be installed (ie: no lippage, no cracked tiles, etc.).

Do not do business with them or you'll regret it.

Dolphin Carpet & Tile has been in business for over 35 years. We have successfully served South Florida by making sure any and all repairs or installation issues are looked after in a timely manner. The issues that Mr. Gene Guyen (He did not provide his last name as your web site requires) has presented are the same issues we have been trying to complete for over two months. He continues to not provide a list of repair issues and will not allow access to complete them. I will address Mr. Geyen's complaint in the order he has presented them. #1 The contract for carpet was written up for 12' carpet, seams are necessary in ALL carpet installations of this size. If he had requested 15' wide carpet the costs would have been dramatically higher due to the increase in waste. A professional measuring service provided the layout and estimates that would provide the most professional installation. UPON COMPLETION OF THE CARPET INSTALLATION, MR. GUYEN SIGNED OUR SATISFACTION CERTIFICATE INDICATING COMPLETE SATISFACTION. #2 Tile in the doorways has been finished off in accordance with all acceptable installation guidelines, there is no sharp edges. We have offered to return at no charge and install a ramp at no charge to bring his carpet height up to his tile height. #3 When we left the installation over two months ago all grout was properly installed, if Mr. Guyen has any type of grout issues he can request service at any time. AS WITH THE CARPET INSTALLATION, AFTER COMPLETION OF THE TILE REPAIR MR. GUYEN SIGNED OUR SATISFACTION CERTIFICATE INDICATING COMPLETE SATISFACTION. #4 We did not mix two shades of tile, the tile Mr. Guyen selected is a random stone look tile. THere are various tones, colors, adn shades all through out the "random pattern", What Mr. Guyen is complaing about is two tile sof the same tone next to each other. As we pull tiles form the boxes they are mixed. Even though this issues is not a valid issue we offered to swap out this tile with the tile to we have provided. #5 All doorways and grout issues are waiting to be service, we have had three separate day and times set but the customer continues to deny us entry to service these issues. #6 Mr. Guyen did not purchase extra tiles from us, our policy is that we will provide the correct amount of tile for the installation as contracted and any partial boxes left over will be given to the customer as a courtesy. We have been able to obtain two extra tiles for Mr. Guyen but again he will not allow us to service this minor issue. #7 The next issues he has brought regarding our taking advantage of customers, overcharging and an untrue conversation is being dealt with by our attorney. We will not stand by and allow this libel to be posted. We have offered to service all the issues he has brought up. HE WILL NOT SIGN A PUNCH LIST AGREEING TO THE WORK NOR WILL HE ALLOW US ACCESS TO COMPLETE THE REPAIRS. We have done everything that any reputable company can possibly do. We stand by awaiting on Mr. Guyen to agree on the scope of work and allow us back to service the repairs. Mr. Guyen should govern himself accordingly when deciding to post libelous information about a reputable company who has been serving his community for over 35 years. Should anyone wish to contact me to discuss this or any issues I can be reached at 305-591-4141 Sincerely, Jeff Stephens Assistant GM Dolphin Carpet & Tile
