Dominic Hunter scam, rip off, vacation home, oceanwalk, rental, daytona Mobile Alabama
We inquired about a vacation timeshare that Mr Dominic Hunter listed on vacationrentals.com website. He called us back and agreed to rent us a 2/2 for spring break week for my family and another family to share. He called us later and got our credit card information to reserve the unit. We were meeting other families at this resort so they also booked rooms with other individuals. He told us he would receive a confirmation and then would send me a receipt. He said we would have a room number issued 2 weeks befoore travel. So two weeks before travel we contacted him and every day after. He would not answer our calls. We called the resort and they told us that this was not how timeshare reservations worked, that we were probably scammed.
This man could have ruined our vacation....thankfully i paid with a credit card that I could do a dispute and got my money back. Mr Hunter should be criminally charged for his actions to myself and the other family we were traveling with and all the others that he has stolen from...
Sad result: We were not able to travel to Oceanwalk because they were sold out.
Happy Result we were able to book at another resort, paying more and less room, but we did have a vacations still.
