Fairfax County website calls the parking lot at Amherst Avenue and Old Keene Mill Road the "AMERICAN LEGION" commuter lot, yet if you do not park within the blue lines, even though there is NO SIGN against parking in the regular spaces near the American Legion building, the Manager of the American Legion has Dominion Towing tow your car. BEWARE. If the main lot is full (which they all are at 8 am) do not park in overflow. Dominion Towing will tow your car to a hard to reach location on Terminal Road in Lorton in a canyonland of fuel silos with confusing addresses and will charge you $125. AND they DONT TAKE DISCOVER. But you will have to hike your way out to find an ATM to pay for them stealing your car. It would be more, but consumers had a law passed in Virginia limiting this predatory practice to $125. a day. Basically its "Legal Predatory Towing", but a slap in the face for Fairfax County to call it the "American Legion" Lot. Maybe they should change the name to "Dominion Towing Lot" Maybe one day, some smart person will file a class action lawsuit against them and get our money back. Oh and by the way, don't park at Fairfax Hospital either unless you pay the extortionist parking garage fee. Dominion will tow you from there too. Welcome to Fairfax County!!!
