Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Don Grisley is a complete con artist.  He acts the part of a savy businessperson, but the reality is he will lie, cheat and steal behind your back.  Several of us used to work for Grisley and he withheld income taxes and insurance from our payroll checks.  When one of us had to go to the hospital one day, the Hospital told us the insurance had been cancelled for non-payment.  Come to find out Grisley had just withheld monies from our payroll and pocketed the funds.  Don't ever work for Grisley if you want to keep your money!

Then he was sued by his partners after they were complaining of Grisley defrauding them and stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from them.  They got a $1.5M judgment against his company Sussex for securities fraud. Come to find out Grisley was acting as a front man and partner with convicted felon, David Hampton Tedder, who was arrested by the FBI and convicted of money laundering and conspiracy, and was prohibited from being in the investment business. Grisley was then shut down by the State of Nevada after they found out Tedder's other lackey Barry Fulco has transferred the business to Grisley illegally in an attempt to conceal its ownership and hide funds:

Before his partners could collect from him personally, he declared bankruptcy and sold or hid all his assets.  He represented to the court he had ZERO income and his bank statements showed over $2,000,000 in deposits still unaccounted for.

Grisley has since had many people after him for money owed from various schemes.  He will even present falsified documents to court and partner with criminals.  His bank account statements prove his theft and several people have seen them. Beware in dealing with this fraudster.  He will do ANYTHING to make a buck at your expense.

Donald "Don" Grisley is still at it in Las Vegas (and California and Florida).

His latest company name is "Melrose Advisors" on Lake Mead Blvd. in Las Vegas, same 702-222-1991 phone number.

He also scammed Phyllis Wynn out of several hundred thousand dollars.  Don't ever trust him...

Interesting to come across this report today.  I had the unfortunate opportunity of an introduction to Don Grisley around this same time period.  My immediate gut response was not to trust this guy.  Why, well when introducing himself he shared that he was making money in the real estate business but was coy about how he was doing so.  It is also worth noting that during this same time period a lot of people were making a lot of money in real estate with no real skill set, experience etc.  Most if not all of the people whom presented themselves as investors from this time period or no longer around.

He was looking at our company to be an investor, he presented his Sussex Group business card so I know it’s the same guy.  (I have other reasons where I am 100% sure it’s the same guy but not going to disclose that here.)  Every single conversation included “coy” actions that did not sit well.  He would call from blocked numbers or different numbers every time he called.  When I asked for his direct # he declined and said he would call me.  So after a few conversations and two in person meetings, he made an offer to invest.  When we responded with a thank you, but we need to vet him to make sure he as an accredited investor.  In other words could he afford to invest good clear funds.  He quickly agreed on the phone call but never came through.  We moved on and was never hopeful of him in the first place.  I have run into him a few times out in public and he would be quick to make eye contact then look away.  Something about a guy like this hates it when your on to him and you knock him off of his game.   I feel the need to post this awareness as we did share quite a bit of proprietary information with him.
