I realize how you must feel. I went through a different publisher, and like all publishers do, they give you a set of proofs. I read through my book several times before submission and several times after as well as having others read through it. Why? I knew that I was going to sign off on those proofs. Sorry, but it really is your own fault. If you would like, I'd suggest canceling your agreement with Dorrance and doing it over, but doing it right.

Dorrance Publishing Co. Inc. has been providing subsidy publishing services to authors for over eighty years. We have served tens of thousands of authors and sold hundreds of thousands of books. We make every effort to produce a high quality product. We offer mechanical editing services which are intended to improve consistency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other such mechanics of written communication. We perform no rewriting, reorganization, or suggestions for the improvement of presentation, content, literary expression or style of writing. We provide proofs to our authors at various stages throughout the production process, and require their review and approval every step of the way. The author is presented with a final set of page proofs which represent exactly how the finished book will appear. We do not proceed to print a book until the author has approved this. It is our desire to produce a final product with which the author is satisfied.
