Douglas Lee Gade (Gade Contracting) Watch out for Doug Gade/ Gade Contracting, he is a crook! DO NOT PAY HIM UP FRONT Flower Mound, Texas
Mr. Gade was contracted to hang 5 sheets of lead back sheet rock, build a 4'x8' partition with a lead window and perform electrical work for $3,700. He insisted on $3,000 up front to buy materials, so I wrote him a check for $3,000. Within 15 minutes of writing check I get a call from my bank asking if it was ok to cash check. Red Flag right! Mr Gade did hand the 5 sheets of lead back sheet rock and built the 4x8 partition WITHOUT the $500 lead window and never was seen again.
I was told by text he had the $500 window and would install it when he installed the electrical. Although I sent him the spec sheet for the x-ray in an email and via text he still "bought the wrong material". I later found out that he does not have the window and is not going to install one and is not going to do the remainder of the work NOR IS HE GOING TO REIMBURSE ME ANY MONEY BACK. I had to contract a second electrical contractor to finish his job for $1,800. This man is not a competent electrician or contractor so do not ever give this man any money up front. STAY AWAY!
