I was contacted by a Dr. Jeffery Smith via an email regarding his needing a babysitter for his twin girls while he attended a six week seminar here in the states.
Although I received the email it was initially addressed to someone else. That made me suspicious. I replied to him email asking him how he found me and why his email was addressed to someone else.
He responded but ignored my questions and was apparently in a hurry to finalize babysitting arrangements.
I responded to that email asking for verifiable information so I could prove his identity. Shorly after sending that email I googled his name and found multiple complaints against him on Rip Off Report.
Below are the emails back and forth. I don't know whats in it for him but it is a GIANT WASTE OF TIME FOR US and it undermines our faith in the internet and in craigslist.

Hello, My name is Dr Jeffrey Smith,i need a babysitter for my twins baby girls, i live in Ontario Canada but am coming down to your area in the states for six weeks seminar and am coming down with my set of twins,i lost my wife some months back and i cant leave my babies behind here in Canada.Please get back to me if you are interested in babysitting for my twins.i need someone that will take care of them as her own baby.please get back to be on time so we can arrange how possible this will be.i look forward to hearing back from you. Hello, Thanks for your reply.I am a father of a twin baby girl, They are two years old. So that means you are caring for 2 girls (Eli and Pat) from 9:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.Transportation would be in my vehicle as I want them totally in your care at the above time frame,hence include a reasonable cost of feeding for same time frame.What are your likes and dislikes in KIDS? the time frame is within August 18th.Get back so I can have you booked as I am rounding off plans and allotting money to issues that should be settled prior to my arrival.I have also attach some pictures for your viewning.What's the total price estimate for the time frame ?Get back to me ASAP Thanks Dr Smith

Dr. Smith, You didn't answer my questions from last email to you. How did you hear about me and why was your email addressed to [email protected]? Your twin girls are adorable and I would love to babysit them for you, however before I commit to babysitting I need some verifiable identification from you. Can you email me a copy of your driver's license and the girls birth certificates? I need a phone number of where you work so I can confirm your identity. Also, please give me the details of the seminar are you attending so I can confirm that as well. I'm sure you can understand my caution. The internet is full of people who are not what they say they are. If everything checks out, I would love to babysit your girls for you. I charge $325 per week for two children. The food charge for the entire 6 weeks would be $150.
