Dr Mahmud Kara MD Damaged a leased snowmobile by crashing into a tree. Never paid for the damages streetsboro Ohio
Dr. Mahmud Kara leased a snowmobile from American Oak Resort. He signed two pages of the contract accepting full responsibility for any damages he may cause to the snowmobile. He also signed a credit card authorization form allowing us to charge his credit card for any damages. He crashed that snowmobile into a tree. He waited until the next day to report it after all his friends had packed up and left. He stated what he had done, and then signed a rough estimate for the repairs. He initialed the damage estimate. He said he would add money to his debit card to pay for the damages.
The credit card he gave us was declined for $0.01 at the time he reported it to us. He did not even pay for the gas that he used. He started dodging calls from us. He then had a friend call who claimed to be an attorney, stating that he didn't think he should pay for the damages. I assured him he was 100% responsible and that he had signed a contract assuming that responsibility. He has never paid. He is in Ohio and we are in Michigan so our small claims court cannot reach him.
this occured in 2010. This year 2016 he had an attorney call to tell us to take down the website detailing his fradulent activities. We refused. He is now sending letters to Hosting companies in an effort to remove our documents. Instead of paying he is trying to find a way out. It appears this attorney is a personal friend of Mr Kara. He committed fraud in the State of Michigan and lacks moral character. I would avoid doing any contact with this individual where compensation is involved. He is a liar and a fraudster.
