Editor’s Note: The law protects and encourages Ripoff Report to make appropriate edits to Reports posted by third parties. Ripoff Report may use that editorial power to post findings from a court of law about the subject matter of Reports. In some cases, a Court may find that specific statements made by the author of a Ripoff Report are false and defamatory. When both sides of a dispute appear and contest the facts of a situation in court it is believed that the findings of the court are generally reliable and fair. Out of respect for the courts and the judicial process, Ripoff Report, upon request, may post that kind of finding with special prominence, and in some cases, may even redact the information specifically identified by the court as false from the original Report. In this instance, the Court Order combined with additional formal court documents received by Ripoff Report was specific enough regarding the statements made, and as such, the offending language has been (((REDACTED BASED ON FINDINGS VIA COURT ORDER))) by Ripoff Report.NOTE:Statements that have not been redacted may not have been specifically outlined in the Court Order and/or may have been considered statements of opinion. It is highly encouraged that consumers conduct their own additional research, from credible sources such as regulating authorities, prior to making any decisions on whether or not to do business with any individual or entity named as the information contained herein, and any negative inference derived from such information, may very well be false and misleading.

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, May 19, 2016

We believe this anonymous report is retributional and fictitious. We have NEVER received such a report in 26 years of practice and comes within 4 days of our company filing a Ripoff Report aganst a local website marketing company that was paid $15,000 to create a new, custom website for our practice without result. Coincidental? And on this online venue?

Details of this particular report are inconsistent with decades of practice and our strong local, regional and national reputation. Read our 4.9-star Google and 5-star Yelp reviews and make your own decisons whether you think this report is likely and consistent.

For example, our exams are not quick - typically a one-hour visit that includes a visual gait evaluation, hands-on orthopedic exam in the owner’s presence and in-depth client education with models, visual aids and whiteboarded treatment algorithms.

We do not sell surgery or make pitches. That’s not our style and not our brand. In fact, just the opposite as our reviews will attest and support. Our approach is patient, low pressure and conversational in easily understood terms where surgery is recommended when we believe it will help based on evidence and experience. Non-surgical options - including regenerative, integrative and medical - are discussed and offered. Decisions on surgery - and often type of urgery - is based on individual circumstances including activity level, lifestyle and athletic goals/outcome expectations.

Our office and surgery facility are special and modern - including our unique operating room theaters built to human hospital standards. This is a point of pride for our practice and represents the highest design standards in veterinary practice.

Nearly ALL of our clients appreciate and value the opporuntiy to see a live and in real-time “bird’s eye” view of their pet’s procedure. It is the ultimate in business transparency and an excellent opportunity for pet owners to see and understand what goes into the care for their pet. It’s a real operating room environment and we’re proud to share with clearly nothing to hide. This service is unique is Arizona.

Our functional expectations following orthopedic surgery are high - that’s why we do this work - and we back up our claims. Our fees for most procedures are based on positive outcomes - not based on services. We are confident in our recommendations and support what we do - including providing unique warranties should a complication arise. No one - we repeat - no one provides these types of warranties in veterinary medicine in the United States when it comes to management of orthopedic trauma, cranial cruciate ligament tears and joint replacements.

Dr. Lirtzman is a respected, highly trained and 26-year experienced veterinarian and is board-certified by American College of Veterinary Surgeons. The doctor has worked in New York, California, Nevada and Arizona with but one complaint in 26 years and NO FINDINGS of negligence or wrongdoing - ever.  Neither the practice nor the doctor is under investigation. A simple search of the respective state boards will prove this correct and find the claims made to be false and malicious.

Finally, our practice’s online reviews are excellent, often detailed and accurate descriptions of the practice and the doctor’s expertise, demeanor and clinical skills. Our recent rebranding effort to Arizona Canine Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has nothing to do with hiding from past reputation but rather to emphasize the strength of our commitment and orthopedic services while maintaining a crucial link to our past. We are very proud of our hard earned reputation. And no one but our former marketing company knows/understands these goals. We find this more than purely coincidental that such claims be made.

We encourage the person who filed this anonymous report to step forward to provide their name, patient name, the type of services performed and the date(s) of services so the veracity of what we believe to be fictitious, libelous and malicious claims may be examined.
