I was searching online for Dr Russo's phone number to make an appointment and saw this report. I do not work at the Spinal Health Institute nor is Dr Russo a personal friend. My daughter contracted spinal and brain cancer at age 8 and received spinal surgery to remove tumors. The surgery left her with partial paralysis and numbness in her leg and foot, which cause her to limp and fall pretty regularly. Radiation caused her to develop severe scoliosis as she grew. She has been on large doses of opiates to combat pain for approximately 5 years. Dr Russo was recommended to us by her massage therapist because of his different approach to chiropractic care. She had just seen her pain doctors and had pain medicine dosages increased. After her first visit, her gait was drastically improved. I have a video record of this. Each visit afterwards improved her gait and allowed her to start eliminating pain killers. After 3 weeks, she was completely off of methadone, topomax, vicodin, fentanyl and morphine, and had feeling returned to various areas on her foot and leg. Her gait is now almost normal, for the first time in 11 years. She couldn't be happier. She is now 20. SHE HAD NO FEELING OR FUNCTION FOR 11 YEARS BUT DR RUSSO'S CARE RETURNED THAT TO HER. My daughter is nearly finished with her adjustments after only 6 months, with several of those months being a single appointment. She feels like she has a new body.
Dr Russo and his staff have been nothing but kind, respectful and helpful. Dr Russo has never mentioned money or excessive appointments, and I can't imagine too many people who were in worse shape than my daughter. I highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering and I don't know who this man is who is described in the negative comments on this site. He's not the guy who treats my daughter.

Well every patient differs from the next is all that I will say. Dr. Russo is a leach that lives off of other people's pain and suffering. Some patients have pain related issues that can be resolved with little to no effort. Some others like myself require more intensive therapies. In which case said doctors should refer their patient's out to another provider that could better assist them rather than milk the cash cow.
I will say that I found that not ALL chiropractors are scumbags like Mr. Russo is. I have since made a FULL recovery with the assistance of a local Folsom/Granite Bay chiropractor. Also where I was told by many doctors including Mr. Russo that "I'd never be able to do this or that again etc etc". Here I am four years later after finishing therapy and I am somehow able to compete within mixed martial arts, practicing the kata's of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. In closing it's a 50/50 ratio. Half is finding the right doctor and the other half is positive mental attitude from the patient and doctor alike. One feeds off of the other. When you have a leach pile of garbage like Mr. Russo that is only concerned with lining his wallet then the patient and patient care suffers overall.
In closing, had I been able to file earlier on trust me I would have taken Mr. Russo to civil court in Sacramento County Superior Court just on a matter of principle.
However I am glad to hear that you yourself had a positive experience with a less than positive human being.

Hi:
I found this online "ripoff report" while searching for Dr. Russo's firm to arrange a repeat appointment. I do not know the person who filed this "ripoff report" and the Spinal Health Clinic did not ask me to file this rebuttal. When I read the report I was shocked because I've had the complete opposite experience with Dr. Russo's firm. When I went into the Clinic (based on a referral from a friend), I could hardly walk without back pain. I threw my back out in the same vertebra area that's bothered me about annually for the last 10 years. After just one treatment using the same process described in the report, I was 80% healed. I couldn't believe it. Then after the second trip, I was totally healed. Again, I was shocked. So shocked that I paid for several treatments for a relative who had similar results. This relative, a 45 year old male with chronic back pain, could hard hold up his head because of neck disc pain. After just 2 visits, he was also nearly fully restored.
All of my dealings with the professionals at the clinic have been positive and marked with high integrity. I have no idea what happened or didn't happen with the person who filed the report, but I just wanted to share that I had an incredibly positive experience with the clinic and would refer anyone there.
