I have been a patient of Dr. Kwoks for 3 yrs now. i was happy to see that this writer calmed down (came down) and understood Dr. Kwok was only trying to protect him. Norco is an incidious drug that gets you HIGH!!! The fentenyl patches are in a sense - synthetic morphine. I'll say this, Dr. was trying to help and was giving you a much stronger med then Norco. Except the patch is slow release over 3 days. No high involved but serious pain relief. That patch was stronger then morphine. My guess is someone clued you into these facts and that was why the recant? I'm glad to see it because Dr. Kwok is a rare breed of pain doctor. He actually does care. And his staff as well. Couldn't say enough nice things about this office in the years I've been there the care is consistent and professional. Good luck with your hip. Peace. Patient Stephanie (:

The sudden change of heart has not been sudden as I have had time to think about this for a couple of weeks now. If you have ever had chronic pain you would know how frustrating it is when it seems like no relief is in sight. It is frightening, it is upsetting and it is just plain horrible. None of us ask to get this way but pain does not seem to discriminate who it affects.
I hope that explains a bit. I was in a frustrated rage when I wrote the report. I'm still very frustrated but a little mire lucid.

I recant my complaints regarding Dr. Weiwah Kwok. I am frustrated with my pain and not my doctor. Dr. Weiwah has been doing his best to help with my pain management withing the constraints of his practice and the law. I am at or near the addiction stage of pain medicine and that unfortunately includes a valid medical need for the medications. Dr. Kwok has tried to keep me from getting to this place but due to the nature of my medical issues and personality, I have become dependent on medications and near or actually at a physical/mental dependence. Dr. Kwok has done nothing to deserve my wrath except to give in to my requests that have been unreasonable. If you have a pain problem and need management, by all means go to Dr. Kwok. He will be your best bet for a comfortable life. Just watch your own body and it's need for the medication. It can outway the benefits of narcotics and be very destructive. Thank you Dr. Kwok for the time and patience you have given me and I apologize for the negative feedback I have given.
Sincerely,
Gary Howell
