After five months and I am ashamed thousands of dollars I was lured to Nikolaev, Ukraine to meet a woman. I met her one evening with a friend and they took me to what appears to be the most expensive restaurant in the Ukraine (disputed on my credit card). The next morning she and her friend showed up again and we went to a place (that was closed till some Russian was said to the owner/employee and it was mysteriously opened). We had some tea and then went for a stroll. Somewhere along the way my debit (not credit card) was used by one of the women to purchase what appears to be about $3,500 in clothes. A debit card is used for cash withdrawals not purchases (maybe she got the worng card). I discovered this after returning to the USA.

I believe that Dream-Marriage.com used this woman or both really used me to extract not money but goods that may or may not have been returned to the shop. I also believe she was a shill for the company to generate cash via the purchase of "credits." Since she is the only one I could contact I asked her (Elizaveta Yatsenko, Nikolaev, Ukraine) return whatever clothes she had purchased. She told me they were gifts. After laughing for a bit I told her I would never buy someone I barely knew something like that and would not use a credit card. She since terminated any conversation with me. Color me surprised. The web site was a conduit for generating cash and the entrepenurial spirit of the young woman in concert with the store was an unusual scam to say the least.

Hello, my name is Ishah Bashal, the Customer Service Manager of Dream-Marriage.com. We operate a legitimate business providing legitimate services. Our female members are real ladies who are truly looking to find their partner using our services. The owners of Dream-Marriage.com are a Russian-American couple who have built this business from the ground up with the sincere desire to help others find love and happiness. The owners and all of the employees are driven by the sincere desire to serve our clients in their quest to find, meet and marry the Russian lady of their choice. Well, where do I begin? Dave, our ex-client visited Ukraine to meet Elizaveta. He was not what she expected because the picture he posted on his profile was a much younger version of himself, at least 10-15 years younger. Even Elizaveta's mother was dismayed at his appearance, believing him to be much older than what her daughter depicted when describing her new beau. To top it off, the client had very bad teeth. Can you imagine how poor Elizaveta must have been horrified and all the more appalled? Nevertheless, considering that they have attempted to build a relationship prior to him arriving in Ukraine to meet her, she tried to stick it out with him, perhaps, to see if there was some redeeming quality that will get her past the fact of his dishonesty. We have letters written by Dave that proves he willingly took Elizaveta shopping at his own will and purchased approximately $1600.00 in clothes for her, not $3500.00, as he stated. It was Dave's intentions to shower her with gifts and going shopping for gifts was not Elizaveta's suggestion. However, Elizaveta was extremely uncomfortable, especially after his repeated requests to begin a sexual relationship. Therefore, she finally decided that it is time to end this relationship. She reported that he was angry with her but tells her that if she were to have intercourse with him, he will forget about the whole thing. Otherwise, he threatened to make problems for her. She, of course, refuses and this is the reason why this article is posted on Rip Off Report to date. Next, Elizaveta tried to return the clothes that Dave purchased for her, but the store would not accept the return. Elizaveta then tried to return the clothes to Dave who refused to accept them. Instead, he maniacally ranted and raved, writing harassing and threatening letters to both Elizaveta and her agency. To Elizaveta, his letters were absurdly insulting and disrespectful, to say the least. And he wrote to her agency, demanding and threatening that the clothes are returned and refunded to his credit card. He disputed all charges, including the dinner at the restaurant they dined at. Although the charges were valid, he has no problem abusing his rights as a consumer. Oddly enough, Dave never wrote to us about this. We didn't hear about this until Elizaveta's agency, who is a very reliable agency, contacted us for assistance because of the incessant, threatening letters Dave continued to write them. The manager of Elizaveta's agency honestly did all that was humanly possible to help Dave but he was unreasonable and inconsolable. And after so many attempts, they sent all of his letters to us so we could see, in full detail, what has happened and step in to help resolve the matter. Had Dave truly believed he was scammed by us, I'm sure we would have received threatening letters from him also. Rather, he terminated his membership, quiet as kept, and posted this article.
