Dream Vacations Harassing calls, bogus vacation offer Tampa Florida
The call began with a recording, saying that if I wanted a 'free vacation' to press 9
I then spoke to a live agent. When I asked her what company she represented, she told me it was "Dream Vacations". I asked her later on, and she revealed the address of the company:
1515 N. MARION ST
TAMPA, Florida
I asked how she got hold of my number. She told me that a friend or relative had recommended me, or that my credit card company had given them the number.
Part of the deal was to listen to a 60 or 90-minute presentation at Calypso Cay, a condo in the Orlando area. (Calypso Cay has been mentioned in other ripoff reports on the site). Dream Vacations was involved with selling condos in this development.
Also included was a stay in Daytona Beach, and a 3-day cruise on the Carribean, on a Carnival Cruise ship
She then said that the trip was NOT free - but would be at a 'promotional rate'
When I informed her that my number was on the Do Not Call Registry, she became angry and started yelling about how I had wasted her time. I told her "Now you know how I feel" and she hung up
After the call, I did a *69 - no number came up

My name is Greg Eriksen and I am one of the principal owners of Dream Vacations located at 1515 N. Marion St, in Tampa, Fl. As a business owner, I place an enourmous priority on customer service and satisfaction. Our philosophy and goal is to ensure EVERY customer is 100% satisfied with their overall experience with our organization. First of all, I would apoligize on behalf of my organization that you were hung up on by one of the sales agents in my office. That was completely unprofessional. If you have the name of the individual that hung up on you, I would like to know immediately as that individual would be teriminated on the spot. I do not take this lightly. However, I must comment that we run a legitimate business. We have NEVER had a claim from any customer at any time about our service, products, or business practices previous to your complaint. Your claims about our business having anything to do with real estate lending or condo sales is 100% completely inaccurate and false. Dream Vacations is a vacation company specializing in discounted vacation packages at over 3500 locations worldwide. We provide luxurious vacations at an extremely discounted prive. We are not tied to or affiliated with American Dream Lending or any other real estate or condo organization. We have many resorts located in the Orlando area, Daytona area, Fort Lauderdale area, as well as hundreds of other locations in Florida. You were provided the correct information up front regarding the locations you would have access too. However, their are also many more. My agent did not misrepresent that information during your conversations with him/her. The promotion you are speaking of is a limited promotion we are able to provide at an 80% discounted rate. Now, my main concern is ensuring each and every customer receives the appropriate level of service. While I agree 100% that my agent did not provide you with the appropriate level of respect and service I demand of my employees, we are a reputable business with a solid reputation in the industry. Our philosophy is "Do the Right Thing!" I am willing to provide you with my direct office line and speak with you personally regarding this. I am also willing to make this right on my end because you were hung up on. My office line is 813-983-7382. Once again, I apologize one of my agents hung up on you, but please understand that was the extend of this complaint. There was nothing misrepresented and know one at any time was "Ripped Off."
