Drive Financial is very rude and abusive. I understand that i am high risk, but my husband was out of work for 3 months and i was only behind on my payment, by less than 2 weeks.

I have tried to get a deferred payment, that would take care of the whole problem, but they won't listen too it. I had one man call me 4 times in one day saying that i would be sorry if i didn't call back, even though i had arrangements w/someone else in the company. I will never, ever recommend them to any one.

My experience is from having my vehicle repossess after making a payment and before receiving a letter stating notice of intention to dispose of motor vehicle, I paid more than what I owed over the phone with a credit card. At no time the representative from Drive told me that there was a notice of repossession for my car. On the same day three hours after my payment was already made my car was taken from the parking lot of where I live that has surveillance cameras everywhere the security fence was opened?? When I contacted the representative in charge of my account the same person that took my payment and told her that my car was gone from the parking lot she stated that my car was probably stolen, we don't have your car. The representative convinced me to call the police which I did, when they filed the report no reports were filed in their computers that my car was repo. In addition I contacted my insurance company who filed a claim of a stolen vehicle, the insurance company wanted me to go to Enterprise to rent a car the next day. The next day I contacted the same representative from Drive Financial told her that I had reported my vehicle was stolen. The representative stated again that Drive Financial did not have the car, I made a three way call with the police department and the representative again stated we don't have the vehicle, the police officer stated they had a repo company that reported to them that they had taken the car from my building ordered by Drive Financial, the representative denied knowing. When I asked the representative of Drive Financial why did she lied to me and had me file a report for a stolen vehicle when she knew all along that the car was taken by Drive Financial, she answered that she was teaching me a lesson for paying late the outstanding balance was $395 which I paid before receiving the notice of intention to dispose of motor vehicle. I explained to her that she knew that I work all the time and that I wanted to set automatic payments withdrawn from my checking account and it was not offered before. I also told the representative that I work for a large corporation and we work with every customer, we don't try to teach people lessons in fact during the katrina hurricane the company I work for did everything possible to work with every customer that was affected by the storm with their payments so they could use their service that was the only way of communication. The representative again stated that she wanted to teach me a lesson and that is why she had the car picked by the repo company. The letter I received later from an employee at Drive Financial Services stating notice of intention to dispose of motor vehicle if I didn't pay the $395 already paid by the time I received the letter, When I contacted the person that send the letter I explained to her that I already had made the payment and she told me that they could work with me to pick up the vehicle from the repo company; but another representative from Drive Financial pick up the phone stating to disregard the letter and that the person that send me the letter should have never send that letter and that she had no right to talk to me anymore that now he was in charge of the account and I would receive a new letter with new charges that he could not even tell me over the phone. I explained to him the situation and he stated that they were not going to work with me and that new charges would be added to my account, in the same week the repo company called spoke to my son and myself left a voice mail message on my cell phone stating that I needed to do something to get my car back soon Drive Financial had given her orders to take the car to Orlando to the auction to sell it right away. I explained to her that I had attempted to redeem my car but that Drive Financial Services did not wanted for me to redeem my car and that they did not wanted to work with me. My car was sold with a balance in my credit report of $2,452 outstanding, which means that I was almost done paying off my car. I spent around $2,400 renting a car with Enterprise since I needed a car right away to get to work and now I'm not able to get financing for another vehicle because of what happened with Drive Financial Services. In fact a lot of the car dealers in the Miami area are working with Drive Financial Services. I believe that Drive Financial Services, Bank of Scotland should not get away with how they practice in the USA, we need to do something about it, I work very hard in order to have a representative tell me that she wanted to teach me a lesson and lied to me in the process. Drive Financial Services states in their website the following: Specializing in automobile financing for consumers with limited or below-average credit ... They are making money of people that are trying to re-establish credit. What type of customer service is provided by Drive Financial Services, do we want rude, harassing, deceptive employees to handle our money or our loans?? They have jobs and they are able to put food at their tables from the business that we the consumers have trusted them with. This doesn't give them the right to treat people the way they do. We the people, consumers have right to complaint to tell everyone our own experiences with Drive Financial Services so they don't go through the same. We need to go to the District Attorney of our state; we need to dispute Drive Financial Services report made against us. Let everyone know before they purchase a vehicle that they can go to www.drivefinancial.com go to get a car enter your zip code and you can find all the car dealerships in your area that work with this company.

What does Drive have to do with the dealer making up a bogus contract?

"The dealer made up a bogus contract and signed mine and my husbands name to it. They changed the price of the car, and everything. I have the contract I signed, and the contract the dealer forged 3 months later, which I had to go to the Attorney General for the State of Texas to get." What does Drive have to do with the dealer making up a bogus contract? Some dealers lie. Sometimes they will have salesmen act as customers to call in & do the customer interview. I am sorry the dealer did this to you. "You want to know why those collectors bug you as they do, b/c the are offered up to $1200.00 a month bonus checks to meet goals. I work in the verifications/compliance department. We are the ones who verify the info you gave the dealer before we fund the dealer a check. If you remember your "customer interview" you remember we asked you the options on your car. If you told us something wasn't there but the dealer had included it, we deduct that option from the dealer check ...but....guess who is still paying for that $600.00 power sunroof that really isn't on your car..YOU, Drive does not refund the money back to the consumer." Dwayne Ft worth You know Dwayne for someone that has worked in finance for 6yrs you really dont have a clue. The customer is not paying "extra" for the $600 power sunroof because there is no power sunroof. That is the dealer "power booking" a car & trying to make more of a profit. If a customer walks into a store & gets a base model Cavalier no sunroof, no power locks, no power windows it will book in NADA for 8k. that is how much it is worth. the dealer will then tell drive "oh this car has everything & it books for 10k" just to get the bank to finance more & up the profits for the dealer. Many dealers will coach the customer "look when the bank calls i want you to tell them it has a sunroof, cd, leather" i actually had a dealer tell me that the car was a convertible ($950) & sunroof($250). think about it...covertible & sunroof. He wanted to add the value of both. He coached the customer to tell us it had both or she couldnt get the car.

Bank of scotland NY appears to know about Drive financial

I just read these psosts and saw that the bank of scotland is parent to Drive financial. So I got curious and called the New York office. Guess what? they transferred me to the legal section and I informed them that they have an astounding amount of complaints by customers. the guy said they will have someone look into it and they had no comment. hmmm no comment? sounds funny as if they were trying to lead me back out the door. BE CAREFUL!, do not do business with either the bank of scotland or drive financial until this website can report positive action by the company!!!

In reading the RIP OFF report, I HAVE to defend DRIVE. I have had my vehicle financed with them since February 2004. I, like everyone else who finances with Drive, understood immediately that this a 'last resort' finance company. They are in this business to help people with LESS THAN average credit, giving us a chance to rebuild. They are taking a very high risk that vehicle payments will be defaulted on, and don't have much room for 'play'. When I was first approved for my loan, I spoke with several very helpful customer service representatives, then as I went month to month, and had questions, the reps that I spoke with were both pleasant and helpful. I would never have a problem recommending someone to DRIVE.

DeWayne- You need to contact me. I am in the process of suing the dealer and Drive Financial. The dealer made up a bogus contract and signed mine and my husbands name to it. They changed the price of the car, and everything. I have the contract I signed, and the contract the dealer forged 3 months later, which I had to go to the Attorney General for the State of Texas to get. Help me out !! Drive Financial has to be the lowest of the low. I am an ex-employee of 5 very dedicated years not to mention extremely stressful years. I was in Management at Drive and I can't even begin to tell you how chicken &*$%^#%$@$ that they are to not only the customers, but also the most dedicated employees that they had. You can work your butt off for Tom Brower who had you so snowed you could not even see straight (nice job on the sermons there Tommy boy)....and the next day you are fired????? Wow did Tom Brower and Brad Reeves just stand there the day before in front of the whole company at the company picnic and tell all of us that our jobs were very secure and we had nothing to worry about?? Wow, I believe we also have it on tape. I remember now, Tom Brower spoke at the Christmas Party in 2002....As long as Ron Matthews is with this company the AS400//Rumba is going no where. What happened there Tom? What comes around goes around.....I am sure that you will be back to your success in the Janitorial business soon. After all crap does belong in the toilet. Train Brad and Lisa I am sure that they would be great business partners...Hell they may even out shine you. The way that the employees were treated and deceived was unbelievable(not to mention the way the customers were treated the majority of the time)coming from a company that was so "FAMILY ORIENTED//PRO FAMILY" What a freaking joke..... Anyone that can nail Drive Financial and Drive them into the ground where they deserve to be more power to you. Tom Brower, just a little FYI, I used to be a Janitor also for five and a half years....I took pride in the job I did as I did at Drive!!! I am amazed that you can sleep at night knowing that you preached about our succsess, promised a mountain that we were going to overcome, promised a future (again, again, again and again). Promised that the CA office was going nowhere but up. Nothing but a joke and nothing but repeated lies. I was "ONE" of the loyal ones that believed in you and I feel so cheated. Anyone that would do business with Drive Financial//Servicing should be committed to a looney bin. Brad Reeves you are nothing but a coward and your side kick Lisa Vanf&(%(%$%#!%&% is nothing more than a sorry excuse for the female sociaty. It is really sad Tom that you are probababy looking at the third business you have had and it is most likely going under. Let your sisters run it they would probably be alot better at it. I was very dedicated to Drive amongst many other long timers and they did nothing but crap on the loyal and dedicated employees of Drive. Good for you Joyce Miller!!!! What comes around goes around Tommy boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Joyce was still there I am sure that it would be going stronger than ever because she not only knew how to run a business she also had a loyality to her employees. Hat's off to Joyce Miller And also Ron Matthews who knew how to operate a business (Milco//First City) before the idiots of Drive came along. If you deal with or work for this company plan on getting burned. Good luck to anyone associated with this company. The Standard By Which The Industry Is Judged??? My opinion is: Deceitful-False; Tricky; Fraudulant Raison-A reason or excuse for existing Imbecile-Mentally deficient; Stupid; Foolish Vermiform-Like a worm in shape Egregious-Unusually or conspicuously bad; flagrant

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

As a former employee of Drive..I hate them just as much as everyone with a complain and belive me theey treat theirs employee's worse then the cusotmers. I can be sure that the person by the name of Tom- From Arlington who makes rebuttal's on Drive's behalf is none other then the CEO Tom Brower. But the real peole in charge of Drive is the Bank of Scotland and I can bet that they have no I idea of how they treat thier customers let alone their employee's. Write to the Bank of Scotland New York office. I can assure you you will hear back from them. Good Luck

I am a 27yo college grad. I have been in the sub prime auto business going on 6 years. I worked for one of the industry leaders as a Corp. Auditor prior to comeing to Drive. I came to Drive under the impression it was a young and growing company therefore there would be room for me to grow as well. HUGE mistake. This company who claims to be "the standard by which the industry is judged" is strongly immoral and corrupt. You want to know why those collectors bug you as they do, b/c the are offered up to $1200.00 a month bonus checks to meet goals. I work in the verifications/compliance department. We are the ones who verify the info you gave the dealer before we fund the dealer a check. If you remember your "customer interview" you remember we asked you the options on your car. If you told us something wasn't there but the dealer had included it, we deduct that option from the dealer check ...but....guess who is still paying for that $600.00 power sunroof that really isn't on your car..YOU, Drive does not refund the money back to the consumer. Also, Drive charges dealers a "discount" for doing business w/us. Its a fee is all it is. Sometimes the dealer will tell a customer they need more down than we asked for to cover this fee, but the money does not come off the amount financed. So, does Drive send the contract back, NO, we tell the dealer we'll do it for an additional fee, say $500.00. For example we ask for $2000.00 down but the dealer asks for $3000.00 but that extra $1000.00 didn't come off the amount financed (we have no way of knowing this until we acutally get the contract). Drive will tell the dealer we want $500.00 of that extra $1000.00..money in the pocket folks. Drive is a rip off for sure. TRUST me, they don't treat their employees any better. I won't go into to much detail, but Trust, its just as you are treated as consumers, it stinks and I for sure turned in my notice b/c I will not be part of such a corrupt and immoral and controlling company..yeah, they control everything, its the Drive way or no way..they don't compromise w/their employees at all. During the tax return season you can imagine how busy we are..they MAKE us work OT, plus weekends (despite that fact that some of us have PT weekend jobs, they dont care, they expect you there no matter what or you get wrote up.(for those in the D/FW area, when most of Dallas was shut down b/c of the bad ice for two days, not Drive and anyone in Mgmt. that didn't come to work those days got wrote up! Its a company that really needs to work on its people skills for sure! All in all Drive Financial Services is driven by the greed and stuck up attitude of the group of Frat. brothers who started the company. The Managers in the company are all clueless, fresh out of college kids who are simple "yes" men/women, and thats they way want to keep it. My advise, go to Billy Bob's tote the note before you agree to finance w/Drive!
