I began paying notes on a 2006 BMW in 10/2014 from drivetime. The first week i had the vehicle,I started having maintanance issues.First issue began with brake dust coming from front end and making percular noises.I spoke with the dealer, drivetime and warrenty dept. they said the brakes were within code.I took my BMW to Midas and Goodyear both proffesional brake servicers here on the Gulf Coast. They informed me that the brakes that were on the vehicle were not the prefered brakes for BMW.
The following month I began to need seemingly endless repairs which were all very expensive and which i had to personally have fixed and still maintain car note. I have invoices for every repair totalling in an amount of 5,000.I asked them about trading the vehicle in for something more reliable with at least a years warranty. prior to buying this vehicle drivetime assured me that if i in fact got the vehicle i would be able to trade it in after a years time. Which was a complete lie! After a year i asked about a trade-in and they added a new rule into the equation, I could only trade in if my balance on the car was down to 4,000. Drivetime told me the BMW came with a 2-year warranty this was also a lie. the warranty company said warranty was only valid for thirty days from purchase date.
By this timeI was totally distraugt and upset. Drivetime customer relations department promised they would put my claim through with the warranty dept due to all the trouble I'd been having with the vehicle and they promised to fix a $1,700 repair that is CURRENTLY needed. This type of dealing is shady and unacceptable it has brought on a great amount of emotional stress in my life.
