After waiting over two hours in absolute agony with an injured leg I was taken back to the ER and saw a physician's assistant, a totally incompetent mess by the name of Christine Huffman. The leg was covered with bruises, all sorts of swelling from fluid build up from the injury, Christine chose the cookies and milk route instead of having a test run to check for blood clots and giving me something for the pain until I could get into see my own Dr. in the morning. Christine told me she could do nothing. I should go home and take two aspirin as if. When I explained the severity of the situation, and that my primary care physician had looked at the leg earlier in the day and said if the leg acted up after hours to go to the ER and get something for pain till the morning, Christine Huffman responded there was still nothing she could do - to go home and take aspirin.

I told Christine Huffman she was wasting my time and left. Furthermore the ER staff neglected to get me to sign a "hipaa" form or any document stating my legal rights as a patient. On top of that the hospital staff neglected to take insurance information & bill the insurance company.

Almost six weeks later I am being harrassed by this institution, mainly due to their bureaucracy and passing the buck. Lastly. people like Christine Huffman have no business working with people who suffer from any kind of injury or illness. She is totally obuse, has her own agenda and that's all there is to it. I am still going around with the hospital as to why they even have this incompetent idiot on the payroll. I am also going round and round with the hospital over billing. Just, as so it seems some progress is made, instead of resolving the issue the hospital side tracks everything with more and more bureaucracy. It would be nice to be able to talk with someone in authority that is straight-forward at Dublin - willing to take on this situation in an intellegent manner and solving - not bogging it down with more and more bureaucracy.

They should forget about the people having heart attacks, dismembered in car accidents and other serious life threatening situations to take care of you. ALL hospitals have you fill out forms when you present yourself at the ER period. Don't like the way you were treated?? File a complaint with JCAHO and your State Health and Human Services Agency.
