Dun & Bradstreet Breaches Unfair & Deceptive Trade Practices Act A Whopping 355% overcharge on services Center Valley Pennsylvania
My company contacted Dun & Bradstreet (D & B) in October 2007 to enquire about building up business credit for our investors. We were advised by Dun & Bradstreet that the charge was $1,051.20 per company. We had 15 companies that we wished to build credit for. Therefore, we were charged a total of $15,928.00.
One of our investors, recorded a call from Randall Hall at D & B in May 2008. In that call Mr Hall describes all the services that Jestine of D & B (who had dealt with us) said she was setting up for our investors. However, Mr Hall's price initially of $329 and then he went on to give a 10% discount bringing the price down to $296. Jestine charged us $1,051.20 per application a whopping 355% mark up on what D & B normally charge.
Further, I phoned Dun & Bradstreet and spoke to another of D & B employees, Robert. Robert directed me to D & B's website and got me to a place which stated that the fee for ALL your firm's services was $599. Again on that call I several times asked if there was anything else that was needed and he said no that was all that we would need.
D & B has acted very disreputably with my organisation. They have clearly overcharged us. To date we have paid them $15,928.00. My attorney wrote a letter before action letter to them. They have Never bothered to reply.
Others please be warned when dealing with Dun and Bradstreet.
