I took my mother's car in to this shop to get the windshield wiper fixed. They fixed it, and I told my Mom to switch to this company.

Mom switched to this company for all her next repairs, took the car in about 6 months later, last year in 2004. I just found out about it now. She did not want to tell me. She spent $800.00 on repairs that were not done. They were for the engine tune up, an air conditioner vent not working, and noise in the undercarriage by one tire, sounding very unsafe.

My son who is a mechanic in another part of the state, drove to her house with me. He looked at the bills, then examined the car. She was charge twice for the same thing, that was described differently each time. Then the actual fixing of her engine and undercarriage was only partially done. There were new wires, and plugs, the vent was working, but the axel by the tire, was charged for and nothing repaired. The hardest work, described on the bill, was not done, but was charged twice.

This gentleman promised me he was a reputable company, and would take care of my Mom, as I live out of state. I talked her in to going there, as his shop was right down the street from her. She is 72 years old and has since moved away. I am hopeful we will find a good auto shop willing to take care of her old Nissan, in Santa Cruz, Ca. She is a beautiful woman, and does not deserve to be ripped off by an auto shop, on a fixed income, and being older. She deserved peace, comfort, and honesty.

My son took care of it, for my Mom, and she is finally driving a car that is safe.

You stepped up to the plate and have taken charge. There are too many people who won't take care of their responsibilities, and yes, taking care of our parents is our responsibility. You seem to have raised a fine son, for he also took care of his grandmother. I salute you.
