my club pogo account was blocked about 2 months after another years subscription was charged to my credit card. For 6 days i emailed them daily asking why and received no response. After 6 days i finally got a response saying I was cancelled due to the use of an auto program.

i have never used an auto program and have no idea how to use one. When i e-mailed them and explained this, i asked for proof. They said they are not required to show proof, and the account would remain blocked.

i see your so-called idea of "techies"? lol. what purpose would anyone gain from using a clone of someone elses screen name or account? none! are they going to cash in the 10 million tokens at a chance to win 1000 bucks? come on...use your brain. do you actually think for one second pogo is going to terminate someones account and forfeit the winnings, while accusing them of cheating, but allow clones? pogo is a scam, simply put. if you can play for free, play for free, according to one persons report here, over 80% of the winners are non paying customers. pogo has been scamming people from the beginning. even one report suggests that pogo is honest, lol. now the person can judge someones , or a companies honesty for 10 bucks. to funny.stop playing on pogo. king.com is a game site as well as msn.com has gaming, yahoo.com games, gamesville.com. gamehouse.com as well as many others. again i tell you people, stop playing at pogo, close your accounts, and for gods sake, dont pay for something thats free. pogo has been creating fictitious accounts and names for many years, so they can make thier payouts to those fictitious accounts. all those who say they have won, i believe that you were, at a small level... you know.. $10, 20, 500, and very few have actually been paid. its for public relations. put a few winners out there and let them tell their story, but again most, 95% of the winners are not paid , especially those who win big. when and if you go back to pogo, look at the winning name...write it down... then add the name as a friend, monitor the name i will bet any of you 100 bucks that name will never light up as being online...and you will never see the largest winners names attached to your account as a friend. this tells you the names are bogus and the accounts are to. pogo is a scam folks.

I play on Pogo as well. I never had the problem that either of you have had, however, I have seen how "techies" on Pogo can cause alot of trouble for whoever they choose. Have you heard of the "clones"? They take a screen name & change 1 small detail about it, then they go around Pogo following the person's screen name that they "cloned" & harrass them & just about every1 else in the game room who doesn't go along with them. Sometimes there are multiple "clones". Most of the time, (as some of us have figured) it's all the same person using different browsers on different computers. The "clones" are also regulars in that particular game room. Sometimes, they even log in under they're "clone" name & they're real Pogo screen name at the same time & argue with themself just to throw off suspition. Sometimes it's 2 or 3 people who are doing the "cloning". They keep coming back & reinventing themselves by using they're real screen name & sending they're "cloned" names free passes, or they get other people to send them passes. There are also some "techies" that can steal your password, & can therefore, reek havic with your account. And there are some that gang up on you & report you for something that you didn't even do. Since the reports are comming from different screen names, Pogo tends to believe them. People are slick on Pogo. Don't give up too much info. Your complaints are both very valid, but you may want to add the above info if you're going to contact Pogo. Think of any screen names that you have seen harrass players constantly, or may be harrassing you, or even someone that may have tried to argue with you about something, & ask around about the "clones". These people don't need a reason to do these things, they just get they're kicks by harrassing others & making people miserable any way they can. I hope this helps in some way.

Brenda, If you want to get an idea of what my fiance and I have experienced with this company, please read the posting that we posted on RipOff. My boyfriends 92 month old account was banned for an alleged "3rd party program" months ago. EA Games refuses to respond and as to what this program is, all we can infer is that we upgraded our internet connection from dsl to adelphia cable which over doubled our speed. After 92 months of paying membership fees, they tell us that the account was banned for "suspected misconduct". We have contacted the FTC, FCC, the Better Business Bureau, The Department of Consumer Affairs, The District Attorney and the Attorney Generals Office. We have corresponded with all of these offices and they are unable to get a legitimate reply from them. Our next recourse is filing a claim with the Florida Circuit Court/small claims court, which we are in the process of doing-perhaps now they will need to open their eyes and answer to a judge when they are served. My advice to you would not to waste your time with EA's phony "customer service" or the agencies above, who apparently can't do anything and let the court system battle it out for you. They may be able to duck the agencies as listed above and get away with it, but rest assured that they will be unable to skip the court system. Its unfortunate that this is the route consumers have to take to get a reasonable fair resolution from a very large corporation. But it is apparent that this company just doesn't care about their customers.
