They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: tony Their relationship to the company: Owner Rebuttal: i have had earthlink for four years, and i have tried many other isp's, hands down, earthlink is the best. the reason the one idiot was charged a cancellation fee, alledgelly, was that he recived a web cam or some sort of other thing for joining. when you recieve these things you have to remain a member for 3-6 mo's depending on the promotion. if you cancel before the time is up, the get charged. earthlink is not the only company that handeles promotions this way, they all do. what do you want, free stuff? so you could sign up , get the web cam and then cancel. give me a break. read the contract before you sign it. you can always try aol lol, lol, lol, lol)

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:
Their email: [email protected]
Their name: William D
Their relationship to the company: Devotee
Rebuttal:
As a network engineer I use earthlink to support my dial up accounts for field users. I have always gotten good service from them and also found them to be very reliable. I don't know what this gentleman's problem was, but is sounds like he may have misunderstood how to use the service. I.E. the creating two accounts by accident. A computer only knows what you tell it.
