After getting a brochure in the mail advertising phone and DSL service from Earthlink, I called and ordered service. Earthlink was unable to connect the phone & DSL service after 2 hours on the telephone with their Customer Service. There solution was for me to order cable service. I complied. Once phone service and cable service was ordered, cable was activated, but the phone service (TrueVoice) would not connect with dial tone. After 3 hours with Customer Service, a dial tone was connected. Then one day they cut off my phone service and issued me a "temporary number" and disconnected both numbers and I could not receive any calls from either my original telephone number or the "temp number". After four days of fighting with Customer Service approximately 3 hours of telephone and on-line chat, they still could not give me phone service, so I cancelled the service. I asked for a full refund, they would not refund me the $50 activation fee and shipping and handling. They are thiefs. This is fraud and they stole money by promising something they could not deliver.
