Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I ordered a free credit report from Free Credit Report.com.  I wanted my credit score so I paid for all three reports so I could get my FICO, this company fraudulently enrolled me in their free credit monitoring service which had to be cancelled within 7 days.  A year later I notice that I have been billed $12.95 per month on my EBay Mastercard run by GE Money Bank.  They told me to deal with freecreditreport.com directly and that they could not do anything.  If I had this problem at a bank, the bank would reverse the charges or dispute the charges.  Freecreditreport.com denies any wrongdoing.  They enrolled me automatically.  I did not enroll.  GE Money Bank would not do a d**n thing and would not assist me in any way with these fraudulent charges.

I closed my card.  I did not get my bill in the mail for my monthly payment.  I was charged a $39 late fee.  I called and was told they could not credit me the late fee.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and got Pat Employee #2486.  She told me she could not refund the whole late fee but would give me a $20 credit.  It is not my fault I did not receive this bill.  I wanted a complete credit for $39.  I just get the feeling that I am being milked because I closed my card.

I want them to give me the full credit on the late fee and I want them to do something about the charges of $12.95 per month, I want them to dispute these charges from freecreditreport.com that I received over the last year.

I complained to EBay and to Paypal about their Lousy Customer Service

Like many posters to ROR you failed to read the fine print. The website for freecreditreport.com CLEARLY states (in not so fine print) that you are enrolling in a program that YOU must cancel within 7 days to avoid future charges:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM. If you don't cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period**, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership. ConsumerInfo.com, Inc. and Freecreditreport.com are not affiliated with the annual free credit report program. Under a new Federal law, you have the right to receive a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies. To request your free annual report under that law, you must go to www.annualcreditreport.com
