I thought final expense telesales was a good idea. I thought selling this kind of insurance by phone would do me well. After investigating all the different companies that allowed for me to do that, I joined eClick and Steve Gifford. Mostly because of the cheap leads and the reasons that Steve gave me.
I knew there was an issue from the begining. Steve is slow to return calls, never responds to emails, and was very eager to sell me leads. It took almost a month to get a writing number. eClick (Steve) claimed it was the carriers that were the issue, but when I would call and ask about my number, the carriers could never find my contracts.
Once we got all that our of the way, I began training. It was a total joke. My high school son could have put together a better presentation. Typo's everywere, incorrect grammar, and very "busy" scripting. I can only explain it as a puzzle, where I was left to put it together, and I was missing peices!
When I recieved the leads, they were total trash. Offshore telemarketers calling unsuspecting seniors. These were not leads, these were names of people that would answer the phone. No one remembered the call, no one was interested in insurance, no one knew really wanted to talk to me.
I brought this up with Steve, and he totally blew up on me. Like a toddler with a wet diaper, he ranted and raved about my feelings towards his company.
I have filed a complaint with my credit card company.
Do yourself a favor, and find a legitimate company that sells final expense by phone.

I am a single mother. I signed up with eClick and right away I knew I made the wrong choice. Steven Gifford was hard to get ahold of. Even when I had questions he told me to figure it out. That he is not a babysitting service. I was shocked! He told me that I could call the carriers for help. When I asked to listen to him several times selling, he always ignored me. It wasn't until I started researching that I see how many negative things there are about him AND his brother. In a month, I never got one lead. I paid hundreds for some crazy start-up fee and got nothing out of it.
Here is the worst part. This creep trolled me online and started saying things to me WHEN we DID talk and would call me a "hot mom" and if I ever was up his way he would take care of me! I have never met such a strang and disgusting person ever in my life! Then to see the harassing he does of this other company. The low and unprofessional things he says and does.
I would recommend everyone...stay far away from this nutjob. As far as him being some great author? Read his comments. He clearly is illiterate. Even on Amazon where he sells his books, has bad reviews.
Mr. Gifford...you're disgusting.

When it comes to someone being totally unprofessional - Look no further than woman beater- Todd Daviso. He owns what used to be call center in Columbus Ohio-- Daviso Insurance Group.

Steven has a weird obsession thinking that my company trolls him. Lol. This poster is spot on. This guy who states he is a "#1 author” is far from it. He is borderline illiterate. Even in one of his videos he misspells the name of their main carrier. Sentinel. He spells it "Sentinal”. Lol In Aug 2017....Steve (eClick) told all his agents they were shutting down tomlook for a new lead company. I know the owner of the company he was using and was told the lead company abruptly stopped giving them leads because Steve owes him money. They shut down for TWO WEEKS! Ouch.
The poster is correct also that Steve though doesn’t live with his mom, but lives with his Brother Scott who also is in the same business. They live in a one room studio in Galion, OH used as their office also. They have no call center. Scott filed BK last year because a top agent of theirs sued him and he lost big time. He lost his cars and home. Wife left him. Steve has charges filed against him for harassing online agents and some of their wives. When you hear that Steve snaps anytime you question him...it’s spot on. Keep up the good work Steven.

1. eClick doesn't SELL leads. We have 4 referral links in our agent portal in which the agents can choose to use them - or use their own leads. We aren't in the lead business.
2. We aren't in Marion, Ohio. We are Nationwide with our offices in Mansfield, Ohio and Call center in Galion, Ohio.
3. The last statement clearly tells the professionalism of this stalker.
