I purchased various ECOsmarte products in an attempt to become an ECOsmarte dealer, based upon ECOsmarte's claims. When I received the products, I had all sorts of problems. Some of them would not work at all, and other's didn't work as advertised.

When I attempted to get a refund, I was told that there were no refunds, only credit for other products, plus I would be charged a "restocking fee".

ECOsmarte claimed that I was the problem and that the controllers worked fine.

I filed a "Merchant Dispute" with my credit card company in an attempt to get my money back and the credit card company instructed me to return the products to ECOsmarte, and I did. They subsequently denied my claim and now ECOsmarte has my money and the products. Now Larry Couture (ECOsmarte's president) is playing games and not returning the products to me, which I intended to sell on eBay, or to anyone that would buy them.

I have since spoken with numerous ECOsmarte dealers and the vast majority of them are disgusted with ECOsmarte, and Larry Couture.

I was also told by a former ECOsmarte dealer that Larry bragged to him about being banned from certain casinos because of his gambling debt.

I was told by another ECOsmarte dealer that he is in the process of suing ECOsmarte because he purchased a large quantity of ECOsmarte products as Larry Couture required, to acquire what he was told was an exclusive ECOsmarte distributorship. After Larry cashed his check, Larry told him they never told him he would have an exclusive distributorship, even though it's in writing.

None of the people employed by ECOsmarte can be trusted. They regularly lie to cover up deficiencies in their product.

ECOSMARTE IS A FIFTEEN YEAR OLD ENVIROMENTAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY WE PRODUCE THE BEST NON-SALT NON-CHEMICAL POOL PRODUCTS.  WE HAVE SOLD TENS OF THOUSANDS OF UNITS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND HAVE DEALERS IN EIGHTY COUNTRIES. THIS PERSON BOUGHT 6 UNITS WHOLESALE AS IS REQUIRED TO BECOME A NON  TERRITORIAL DEALER. HE THEN RIPPED THEM APART IN AN ATEMPT TO REVERSE ENGINEER OUR PRODUCTS AND BUILD HIS OWN PRODUCTS INCLUDING A FILTER MEDIA THAT ALL FAILED.

HE MANAGED TO SELL ONE UNIT AND INSTALLED IT ON A HOTEL AGAINST OUR RECOMMENDATION WHICH WE HAD TO TAKE OVER AND HAD TO UPGRADE TO THE CORRECT PRODUCTS THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLD. THIS IS A PERSON THAT COULD NOT SERVICE HIS ONE AND ONLY ECOSMARTE CUSTOMER. 

HE EVEN SAID IN HIS OWN STATEMENT THAT HIS CLAIM WAS DENIED BY VISA MASTER CARD. WE GIVE ALL ECOSMARTE CUSTOMER TOLL FREE SUPPORT 6 DAY A WEEK FREE OF CHARGE INCLUDING HIS CUSTOMER!!!

THIS PERSONS DEALERSHIP WAS IN HAWAII AND HE HAS SINCE FLED THE AREA AND NOW LIVES IN SANTA ROSA, CA

NOT ALL PEOPLE ARE CUT OUT TO BE A BUSINESS OWNER!!!

I have been a dealer for ECOsmarte for the last 2.5 years. I have not experienced any of the problems Craig speaks of. I have found ECOsmarte products to work beautifully, and believe they are the most healthy, environmentally friendly choices for water filtration and pool sanitization available on the market today. On the rare occasion that I have had trouble with systems, I have found them to be helpful and easy to work with - sending replacement parts immediately and giving me sound advice to fix the problem. When you become an ECOsmarte dealer, you are supposed to have a formal training on how their products work. This 3 day training is chock full of information that is designed to make you the best dealer you can be BECAUSE YOU UNDERSTAND THE PRODUCTS. It is my understanding that Craig never had a formal training as a dealer, so I am not surprised that he had trouble with the systems. The world of water filtration/pool sanitiztion is full of nooks and crannies that need to be understood before you can be an effective dealer. That's what the training is for. I would also like to point out that Craig's assertion of unrelated personal information about Larry Couture and his indulgence in name calling speaks loudly about the character of the person who filed the report.
