For several months I visited the Honda dealer to discuss purchasing a new Civic R sports car. I was told that this dealer would not take a deposit and that the limited number of cars available would be first come first served. Since my office is just 2 blocks away I was told that as soon as the first car arrived that I would be notified. A few weeks later I was given a window of two weeks and I was told the first Civic R would be black. Then I was told that the invoice had not arrived so the dealership could not sell it until they had the car and invoice. 10 days later I contacted the general manager who I had been working with for an update and was told that the car had been sold. This dealership lied about the car not being pre-sold. The dealership lied about notifying me as soon as the car arrived, the dealership strung me along for months waiting and then told me "Oh, we think we will be getting a red one in soon." Like I was going to wait even longer. After doing more reasearch I discovered other Honda dealerships were taking orders and deposits. It is obvious that I was discriminated against by Ed Morse Honda and then they tried to line me up for the next sale. I detest liars and I lost my chance at other dealerships to purchase this new Civic R sports car.

Dear Stick. I really doubt that Mike had to spend an hour and 15 minutes to discuss jerking me around for two months waiting for a Civic R sports car. If you really read my complaint I offered to put a deposit down on the Civic R several times but Ed Morse refused. I have documented emails promising me that I would be contacted as soon as the car and invoice were received by Ed Morse. None of that happened and the Civic R was sold without any notice to me. Also I never expressed a certain color preference. I was told the vehicle was going to be put on display and I told Mike in an email that I would agree to purchase the Civic R and leave it in their showroom to attract customers. So my guess is you are a paid blogger by the dealerships to try to discredit my complaint. I have enough cash in my bank to buy 5 new Civic R sportscars however it is difficult to purchase something without a price and delivery date. It's too bad I found out later that other Honda dealerships were accepting deposits. I'll make sure that my story will be told on the Internet for years to come.

My name is stick and I've been a consumer advocate in the Auto industry to try to help people that felt that they had been ripped off in some fashion in the automotive industry or the RV industry or if they were thinking about buying a boat of their choice I just got off the phone with the general manager of the dealership I've been on the phone for about an hour and 20 minutes with the general manager his name is Mike what a great guy. I have to say that he is the type of guy I would love to see as a general manager in dealerships across this country. To the gentleman that posted this report you were looking at a car that's extremely hard to get and if you really want one you're not going to be able to choose the color and I'm sure that many dealerships across the country would have been placing addendum stickers on these cars asking three to $6,000 more than the sticker price to get one of these cars. Given the fact that you own a NSX you know the value of rare cars and how hard they are to get, now your car is way over 20 years old that you were thinking about trading in and I understand that it would be extremely hard for the dealership to find a buyer that would pay a dollar amount that you would be happy with regarding the car that you thought about trading in. You've done your homework about this or model that you like and let me tell you if you see one that you like forget the color but one that you like you need to get your checkbook out and put a down payment on it and get that car in your possession .Honda is not even telling the dealerships how many cars they plan to make of that particular style. the dealerships don't even know when or if they're going to get one of these cars. The general manager of the dealerships not mad at you I really don't even think that he's upset that you posted this report yeah he's a bit concerned with it because he did nothing wrong .you were there looking at the car that you like you should have went and made the effort to step across the line add Sonic contract to buy that car. sometimes car buyers say to the dealerships let me think about it .

In this situation there's nothing to think about either you want it or you don't this dealerships manager Mike was telling me that he had no plans of selling the car above the sticker price that Honda placed on that car nor were they going to discount it not a penny below the sticker price. I like the general manager of this dealership he sold the car to somebody that wanted it right then and there and was ready to pay for it without any questions regardless of the color that was on that car. If you're lucky enough to find one of these cars in a Honda dealership showroom and you want it and it hasn't been sold yet you need to whip out your down payment and get that car finance or pay cash for it and walk out with it and as far as your car is concerned, if you want to get top dollar you need to find somebody that wants that car more than you do.

Mike you're an outstanding guy and I enjoyed talking to you for the last hour and 15 minutes and I would do it again gladly. you are a great guy and I can see why you are in the position where you're at. I had to call you to let you know about this complaint and I wanted to put it in your hands to make a decision as to what you want to do with it and I totally agree with where you're coming from. these are the kind of dealerships I like to stand up for that do nothing wrong and try to treat all customers the same as they would like to be treated. these dealerships are really hard to find I very much enjoy the last hour and 15 minutes on the phone with the general manager of this dealership what a great guy
