Complaint Review: Effective Internet Presence - Internet

Payton Lowe is the man behind Effective Internet Presence, and working with him and EIPDAM was a dreadful decision we completely regret. First of all, when our project with Payton began the time frame for work to be completed was approximately a month. However, this was in October and it is now May with the work still not complete and email communication has completely ceased. He gave us a million different story lines from family being in town to an emeregency trip to see bands play at Coachella. He took funds from us to complete a number of tasks from configuring a Virtuemart shopping cart to creating a fresh look for a website we oversee. The cart never became functional and the site was never completed.

We made every effort to resolve the situation fairly with Payton Lowe, asking for a very small refund of $425 to cover the costs to complete the work with another designer since he was unable to complete the work. He only offered a credit, which had no value since he proved over time he was incapable of completing any of the tasks that were required. Under his watch over 500 pages of content were lost, two security hacks occurred and the web design work never came close to being finished. He strung us along for months, while even with very clear and guided directions he could not perform a task as simple as inserting hyperlinks in a footer. These small tasks to multiple email exchanges to the point of frustration. We made every possible attempt to work with Payton Lowe and resolve things in a fair and appropriate fashion, but his lack of professionalism and inability take accountability for his lack knowledge of Joomla left us with no other option but to persue legal action.

We are now in the process of completing chargebacks on payments sent to Payton Lowe as well as civil litigation for time lost, financial costs associated with content erased by him and of course loss of revenue during his management of the websites. All we wanted was the website to function properly and Payton Lowe expressed he could make that happen. However, he was not able to do so and the fair thing would have been on his end to provide the small refund we asked for. He knew he lacked the skills necessary to complete the tasks and even emailed us saying we should "hire on a joomla expert to fix the problems". The problem with that statement is that Payton Lowe was the person we hired. Therefore, he should not have accepted the job if he did not have the expertise to complete the task.

Payton Lowe is a fraud. He had every attempt to resolve the situation even after the damage he casued. We were more than willing to cut ties ammicably but he made that impossible and now we must share our story with Effective Internet Presence and Payton Lowe so other businesses in San Diego, Riverside and regions in Southern California do not have the same experience.
