Dear Atlchi, We regret that you were not satisfied with our site after trying our service for one week. We welcome the opportunity to address some of your concerns. While we certainly understand how important photos can be, our service is designed to match primarily on the 29 Dimensions of Compatibility. We have found that many members need some time to feel comfortable with posting a photo and selecting a photo to post. If posting a photograph were a prerequisite to completing the Relationship Questionnaire, anyone who didn't have a photo available to post and immediately on hand would be prevented from joining the eHarmony community. This would potentially prevent members from being matched with someone they are highly-compatible with. Please be assured that we routinely take steps to make sure that all of our users understand how helpful it can be to include photos in their profiles. We have also provided features to allow members to encourage their matches to post their photos. We also appreciate your concern regarding the non-responsiveness of matches with whom you initiated communication. Two areas of a members account inspire members to communicate: posting a variety of photos showing you engaged in various aspects of your life, and having a thoroughly and thoughtfully filled out About Me page. Keep in mind, however that finding the love of your life, even on eHarmony, takes time and requires patience and persistence. On average, our successful couples began communicating with one another after dedicating 3 to 6 months to their search. Additionally, because many of our members lead active, busy lives, we recommend that member's give a match 2 weeks to respond before closing communication. Please know that our members' success is our success, and we certainly wish that we could successfully match all our members; however, as our Terms and Conditions of service state: "You understand that eHarmony makes no guarantees, either express or implied, regarding your ultimate compatibility with individuals you meet through the Singles Service or as to the conduct of such individuals." Lastly one of the reasons we provide monthly subscriptions is to allow members the opportunity to try our service so they may determine if our service is a good option for them before dedicating the 3 to 6 months usually necessary for a successful eHarmony experience.
