Let me say first and foremost that the instructor herself seems like a nice young lady. I took my son to Elite Martial Arts after watching their video online. their video show an extensive workout plan that is hands on and full of energy. Once arriving, I was sat down in an advnaced class which showed about half of what the video did, and I didnt mind because I had to keep in mind that these were children.
I decided to sign up. The lady behind the counter asked me if I would like to try it for 6 months or 12 months, I told her that I would like to try for 12 months. I then asked her about the payments. She said that they would need to be automatically withdrawn, however If I needed to come in to make a payment, I had that option. We moved to Ohio, so I contacted them to let them know that we had done so. She then told me that I needed to contact the payment company who has the contract... the contract that I never saw by the way, and cancel with them. She told me that my payment would continue to come out until it was done. They got 3 months out of me, with no lessons given.
I have decided to take my son to another facility. ONe that teaches the kids and doesnt mislead you in taking your money, even after you have left the state. No contract was presented. No terms were read. This is not a professional place, and if you are military like we are, I suggest that you stick closer to post, because there are facilities that are 1/4 of the price and a lot better.
