This horror began when I purchased a 2004 Cadillac SRX from Ellis Motor Cars (formerly Chip Ellis Motors) on Saturday, February 11, 2012.  I gave them a down payment of $3200, signed some papers, was given the keys and told to come back with additional "pick-up funds" in two weeks to get my paperwork.

This was supposed to be a surprise Valentine Day gift for my husband who has been wanting this type of vehicle for over a year.  While he was driving the car home, I noticed the rear brake light at the top of the vehicle was not working.  I immediately called the salesman who told me to bring it back when they open Monday.  When we drove the vehicle on the interstate the next day, we noticed the motor was jumping and discovered it had a broken motor mount and the CD player and criuse did not work.

The salesman promised to make all repairs when we left the car at the dealership Monday, February 13.  I have not had the vehicle in my possession since.  They keep telling me it needs something else done.  They refuse to refund my deposit.

I gave my husband a surprise birthday celebration in March and his congregation consented to pay for the vehicle as a gift for his birthday.  Needless to say there was no vehicle to show.  The salesman let me use another SUV to attend the event and said keep it until my SRX is ready (this is month later).  My husband refused to drive it.  After two-weeks, all the transmission fluid flowed out of the car they let me use.  Ellis Motors had it picked up for repair and I never saw that vehicle again nor did they offer me any other vehicle to use.

We would be "up-the-creek" if we were a one-vehicle family (which we are now).  And its been difficult especially since I talked my husband into getting rid of his old Lincoln for the Cadillac.  My marriage is becoming a nightmare with my husband's agitation over this situation.  I had hoped I would be able to have his Valentine's Day gift by Father's Day. They are still giving me the run around.  HELP!
