Elon Property (Management Parkway North Apartments) Black Mold (MGR knows about) noisey people, 9 people living in 2 bed apt North Fort Myers Florida
I have so many complaints about ELON Property Management, but to save everyone time, I will limit this complaint to a few.
I have rented here for two years now. When I first moved in, I noticed that everything used to update the apartment was the cheapest of materials that could be found...the apartment manager agreed. The first day, two brand new kitchen drawers broke! The bathroom mirror (medicine cabinet) latch broke as well. My front porch light has never worked, and when you walk through the livingroom to the bath, you can feel that the floor is rotted! I am waitng for the day my husband or myself falls through!
Within the first few weeks, I noticed black mold growing around the AC vent in my bedroom. The manager took note and photos of it and two years later, nothing has been done! The maintenance hire worked on the plumbing in the apartment behind me and my neighbor's bathroom flooded because of it. I was leaving for NY the next day and told my neighbor, "I hope my apartment doesn't flood while I'm gone!" When I returned, my laundryroom was flooded! It ruined my floor.
A new neighbor moved in behind us and they make horrible banging noises begining at 5 am lasting until 12am (we can feel it throughout the floors). I asked the mgr to please address the issue and she said "there is nothing I can do about it". I was and still am in shock!
Next door is a two bedroom apt. There are two adults and seven children living there. Four of the children are 14 to 19. The manager has addmitedly said this is illegal and said they will be moving out six months ago (they are really noisey as well). They are still there and when I asked how things were going as far as them finding another place, the mgr. just said "you all just need to mind your business". I get that, but it is against the law!
The place is cheap, they don't care about the residents that pay rent on time and cause no problems. If you have issues and don't respect your neighbors, move in to one of ELON Properties rentals! The management seems to do more for the tennants that cause problems than the tennants that follow rules!
What a waste of money! Many of you may ask; "if you hate it so much, why not move?" I agree, however I can't , manage to save 2 months rent plus deposit. I am disabled and don't know how I would move my things without paying a mover!

Thought of a couple more things! The paint was just done in primer, so everything stickss to the walls and can't be washed off. Also, my range hood works beautifully, however, the vent doesn't go outside! It is just shoved in the wall with no way to draw the smokey air out! WOW!
