I responded to an offer from eMarket Research Group for a free 40gb iPod for trying ONE of their partner offers, which I did: I tried blockbuster.com's 2-week free trial.

However, when I checked the redemption page, somehow the requirements had changed from the initial offer; it now said I needed to fulfill SIX partner offers (if it had said that in the first place I never would have done it, too much work ... I responded specifically because it said all I had to do was complete ONE partner offer) and it also said I had not completed ANY partner offers. However, I can prove that I have indeed done so.

Now I just now checked the redemption page, and now it doesn't even find my email address in the database. This must be a mistake because it is definitely the address I registered with, plus, since registering, to my dismay I have been receiving spam in huge quantities now and I know it is due to registering on their site.

My emails to support have gone unanswered, and, needless to say, I don't have my iPod.

This is obviously a scam outfit run by people who don't believe in the Golden Rule and who think they can escape the incontrovertible law of karma.

EMarket Research Group ripoff -- still no substantive response from "Jeff"

My first report triggered an actual response from employee "Jeff" but even though I did as he asked, there has been no substantive response. Which only serves to underscore my feeling of having been ripped off. Well, live and learn, I guess ... Jeff, if you're reading this, please do the right thing and live up to your end of the bargain. Come on ... make your mother proud, be a mensch.

I've done as you asked ... now please hold up your end of the bargain

Thanks for your quick response, Jeff; I appreciate it. I've done as you asked and submitted another support ticket at the site you directed me to, which includes my email address. I assure you that I'm not confusing eMarketResearch group.com with freeipods.com for two reasons: 1) The offer I responded to was for a standard size 40gb iPod, which freeiPods.com doesn't offer (they offer mini iPods and a standard size 20gb), 2) I bookmarked the page when I first responded to the offer and it's definitely eMarketResearchgroup.com. Again, I assure you the offer was to fulfill ONE partner offer, absolutely *not* six. I've held up my end of the bargain, now please do the right thing and hold up yours. Sincerely,

Jeff

Dear Frederick, A potential reason why this may have happened is that you had went to a different web site such as freeipods.com that only required one sponsor offer. We are not the operators of freeipods.com and have no control over their site. Our web site had always required 6 sponsor offers to be completed for the free ipod promotion. Now, nothing is ever impossible, so I would need your email address to do a manual lookup in the system to check your gift status. If you could let us know of your email address by submitting a support ticket online (see below) and/or calling us, we will try our best to get to the bottom of this. The gift redemption/check gift status web site is at: http://www.emarketresearchgroup.com/redeem.htm 1-866-301-7260 is our official customer service help line. You can also write to us at: E Market Research Group Customer Service 14545 J Military Trail #189 Delray Beach, FL 33484 Please note that we typically try to respond to customer service inquires within two business days. You can also submit an online support ticket at the following URL: http://www.emarketresearchgroup.com/cs (Be sure to disable any email filters you may have set up, as sometimes users have reported that their email filtering software have deleted our customer service email responses before they had a chance to receive it) Thank You and we hope to resolve any concerns you may have.
