Stephen Cosentino, D.O. Empire Medical Training, Verbally abusive company, selling medical seminars Ripoff Fort Lauderdale Florida
I am writing this testimony to inform any or all potential doctors who are considering doing business with Empire Medical Training. I used to work for this company and worked in a hostile work environment-filled with CONSTANT profanity, sexual harassment, disrespect and race discrimination by the medical director, Stephen Cosentino. I made complaints to the office administrator and Mr. Cosentino but nothing was done.
I was fired because I refused to "go along" with such inappropriate things any longer. He gave me no valid reason for letting me go.
There have been other employees in the past who also received verbal abuse/sexual harassment from Mr. Cosentino & were also terminated for no valid reason.
During my employment there, I sold hundreds of medical seminars/memberships to doctors as well as non-medical employees. The company does not care about the doctors only making money! The company has been bombarded with complaints and disputes on their credit cards from many doctors (even lawsuits) and they ignore each and every complaint - hoping they will go away. The medical director only cares about himself and nobody else.
On many ocassions, I witnessed medical seminars being canceled at the last minute which of course, upset many doctors who had already gotten paid of the seminar, booked hotel/travel arrangements. They would never issue refunds only "future credits" to attend another seminar. But refused to refund any hotel/flight arrangements for the doctors. As much as I wanted to tell these doctors to NOT purchase anything, I couldn't because I worked there and KNEW it would jeoardize my job.
The company is highly unprofessional on both a personal & business level. Starting from the medical director and down to the management level.
Also, the company has had medical instructors that constantly quit because they don't pay anyone on time - if at all. The company gets collection calls everyday for not paying accounts on a timely manner. They kept on instructor waiting over half a year for his paycheck - he finally quit. The website designer we had they would never pay after his services, etc...That's the way it was with anyone that was owed money. There were even times our paychecks had no funds and bounced after depositing!
Someone recommended I file a complaint on this website. I am hoping people see this and it saves them from spending their hard earned money on false promises and having to deal with an unethical/unprofessional company!
