Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In February, I contracted with a business in Kent, WA to take care of our move from Las Vegas, NV to Pahoa. I sent $4126.00 to "[email protected]" via PayPal to initiate the process of the move. This money was to pay for services to Gem Trucking/C&F Transportation to pick up our household goods, pay for the driver's to load the truck and start the shipping process for a "water move" via Matson Shipping Lines. On March 16, 2008 the driver and mover picked up our goods and transported them to Long Beach, CA to load them.

Unfortunately, here is where things go very, very bad. I sent repeated e-mails to eNationwide Van Lines to inquire about the status of our household. I was told that, first, Jay had been injured in a "horrible accident" and that Peter was working with Gina Clutcher, the resident agent and treasurer of eNationwide Van Lines, to get my goods to me. Then I received what I call a "canned response" to one of my e-mails that there was some damage done to their building, but they would get back to me as soon as possible, as their e-mail system was xperiencing problems.

As of today, April 30, 2008, eNationwide Van Lines has not updated the status of my move. They were paid 80% of the total cost of the move because it is a "water move". After much research, a friend and I have located the gentleman, Peter, of C&S, who has states he has our household goods in storage and that he will not put them on the boat for 2 reasons. The first is that my shipment was heavier than originally estimated and therefore I owe an additional $1500.00. The second reason is that he has NOT BEEN PAID ONE PENNY from eNationwide Van Lines!

I have filed a complaint for THEFT in the initial amount of $4126.00. I have done all research and need these people at eNationwide Van Lines prosecuted to

the fullest extent of the law. This is blatant theft of money, and in turn, I have no household goods.

To make matters worse, they have an active website and it still allows people to ask for a quote. I was told that the company has ceased operations temporarily BUT I was also informed that the company is out of business. Phones and faxes are disconnected.

Please help me with this, as I have also filed with IC3, FMCSA and FTC among others to try to assist.

Jason Smith is the "president" and Gina Clutcher is the resident agent and "treasurer" of the company.

eNationwide "stole" $4160.72, never paid C&S Trans. Goods "hostage"

The total quote for my move from eNationwide Van Lines was $5200.90 and I paid 80% because of it being a "water" move. Yes-my goods were over the estimate I gave of 6000 pounds and I attempted to pay for the overage. The error part of this is that C&S Trans. is overcharging me an additional 500 pounds, as confirmed by the SALCO Scale weigh tickets. No one from eNationwide responded to the "how or who" to pay. When they did, it was to say I had to pay the overage plus the remainder of the move to C&S Transportation. The problem I have is paying for something in full when I have no guarantee I am going to get the items. Update: May 14, 2008- a detective from Kent, WA PD states I must file a civil claim. I can not file a report for theft. Also, the physical street address listed on the eNationwide website belongs to Gina Clutcher (or did) and it is an apartment/condominium. Update: A person from the STB is assisting me with getting a reputable mover to assist with getting the goods out of the C&S warehouse and putting them on a boat to HI. Update: MoveRescue can not assist with moves from the mainland to Hawaii, only with moves in the 48 mainland states. Update: Still no further along in the process, but making progress. Filed a claim with the bond agent. It is funny, actually, because they are used to getting calls from transporters, not the individual who shipped the goods! Trying to explain the situation gets me a lot of "I'm so sorry about this"!. I sent my forms in to the insurance company for eNationwide. Hopefully, I will get the full cash dollar amount that I paid them. I will update as new things come along.
