Complaint Review: Encore Marketing Group - Craig Stapel - Russ Kelly - Irving Texas

For 4 years I have posted and rebutted on RoR, and I am glad that more "former employees" (sounds better than 'victims of scam') have come forth. Seems funny that the shills and trolls expounding Encore's virtues have gotten quieter over the years.

To Dan: If you've been paying attention, you would have seen that Encore and Idearc went to arbitration. Fret not, I did talk to the attorneys, and gave them an unvarnished account of my two months as a Sales Director.

To EVERYONE ELSE: Tell your friends, your family and your enemies not to work for Encore. if they inadvertently answer one of their deceiving "Customer Service" ads, run, do not walk, away.

Encore needs lots of warm bodies to fill their ranks. They prey on the desperate, the naive and the inexperienced. Encore's business plan actually depends on hiring as many people as they can, paying as little commission as possible, and counting on the revolving door to sustain them.

Stop the flow of people pouring through Encore's door, and Encore withers and dies.

Let's all contribute to the death of this pathetic company. Encore is one step above Scentura and 1000 steps below a legitamate sales organization.

I was a Sales Director in Jackson, MS.

I honestly feel that these responses coming from people defending them are false lies, made up by Craig Staple.

Just look at Craig's only remark and look at the Employee's remarks. They are very similar in writing and somehow, even if the Employee's name isn't mentioned in the article, Mr. Staple would always say "You were fired for fraud." So I believe Encore is trying to push the fraud down the other way.

I'm here to tell you Mr. Staple, if you want to play, and if you do, I will contact Idearc's Attorneys to inform them about "new" information that I know personally and you'll have to waste more money in court because I do have deeper knowledge of what went down in the Idearc Superpages.com program.

Don't act like Encore is all innocent in this situation. You hired a bunch of un-educated people, who you can screw over because they lack the education and understanding to expose you or take your sorry butt to court. I know the situation. I was the one hired to train the un-educated people you wanted. I knew the situation. I knew the inexperience the people had. I still hired them because that was company policy of who they wanted to work with us because educated people would smell a dirty rat right away.

Count your blessings Craig Staple. I know what went down with Idearc.

My son and his friend were also a victim to this company...Their supervisor/manager here in Iowa promised a $400 check on trhe 24th of March...Neither of them recieved a check..I think these managers get some kind of commission for these hires so they are telling these kids whatever they have to ...to reel them in....My son brought home his newborn son from the hospital on the 24th expecting a check to pay his March rent with to be told he isnt gettoing a check!! so now hes being evicted.....I spoke with Craig who is supposed to be this upstanding citizen and was told that the "contract" states blah blah blah....I know for a FACT thes eboys worked 10, 8 and 9 hour days for NUTHING!!! What they are doing is scamming people....Whats sad is these people are representing Qwest Communications!!! I have already made a few calls to them as well and waiting on a CEO from them to call me back! I have been with Qwest for 7 years..If something isnt done...I will be taking my service elsewhere!! I hope Craig can sleep at night knowing that he has put a young dad and his family literally on the street!!! He is a GREEDY...LYING....man...He knows exactly what hes doing to these people.....Theres a few others that left for same reason...One from Omaha Nebraska that walked out because hed been working for 2 months and recieved ONE check! This is how his company stays above water...They reel these young kids in and promise them a dream and then they work them and refuse to pay them....so they got two good weeks of labor from these boys and wont pay up!!! SAD SAD SAD!!!! I hope people catch on to u people!!!

I understand that you are upset....I would be too if Encore froze all activity due to fraud I committed. We have proof that you wrote up a completely different contract and signed the gentleman's name. We have the original. And you want to talk about not getting paid....didn't you ask one of the other reps to borrow some money and never paid her back? We paid you in cash over $1000.00 that day. I have your signature to prove it. I will admit that Encore has some kinks they need to work out, but lying about Russell Kelley will get you no where. He was on your side idiot! He was trying to help you! And about the law suit....bring it on, if there really is one....you probably made that up too. Have fun scamming other people out of their money...you are just upset that you couldn't get anymore money out of Encore that you didn't deserve. Get over yourself....everyone else has gotten over you.

While I applaud the efforts made by "Somebody", be prepared for a long, drawn out fight. Independent contractors can be fired without cause, something Craig knows all too well. Fraudulent contracts and orders..hard to prove, but fun to do! Best thing is to cut Craig off at the knees (or higher). Send a letter to the newspapers' classified advertising department. Include all the Rip Off Reports that have been posted (there are quite a few). If you have a lawsuit filed, enclose that, as well. Notify the classified advertising departments that they are willing or unwilling participants in this pathetic little company's fraudulent business practice. Hopefully, the newspaper(s) will refuse Encore's advertising. No reps, no income. No income, no Encore. I look forward to reading about any litigation involving this pitiful excuse for a sales opportunity. Encore is just one step above Scentura and 1000 steps below any legitimate sales organization. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, even your worst enemies not to answer an ad placed by Encore or if they have, to blow off the scheduled appointment.
