On December 14th I was involved in a MVA which wasn't my fault so I got a rental car covered through my insurance . On the 16th of December I went to the enterprise to pick up my rental car... They didn't have an SUV at the time so I was going to use a car for a day. It was a fiat and very small . at the time I was 7 months pregnant. After having the fiat for 2 hours I got a call from the manager judy about switching the fiat to a bigger car until I could get the SUV the next day. 

 

there  was an older man who drove  the new rental car to my house to switch out the ffirst rental car. There was mud all over the front bumper when the car got to my house... being winter and all.  We did the initial walk around and he said the front bumper was fine... I noticed a dent and pointed it out and he claimed to me that it wasn't big enough to mark on the paper. Me never having dealt with this situation believed him and signed the paper.  

 

2 days later a different man came and dropped off an SUV. and switched out with the car. He noticed the dent and I explained that I told this to the other man. He said okay and left. 5 days later the manager called me telling me I damaged the car and that the initial guy said I didn't point this dent out. 

 

On December 23rd I went to the office to speak to the manager face to face. I explained the situation and she expressed that she believed me and that she didn't want to go against her employer as it would affect the work environment.  She said that I should only pay half of the 520 dollar bill because it's my fault I didn't get him to write it down. Let it be a lesson learnt. This did not sit well with me so I refused. I am not paying for something I did not do! She also wouldn't let me speak to the man I did the initial walk around with. ... 

 

I have wrote an email to damage claims Explaining the incident... They still want to proceed with the claim. I have contacted two different area managers one from Edmonton and calagry.. Both of which have not returned my calls in the last week. I have received a letter in the mail of them now trying to charge me 661 dollars for damages... Went from 520 to 260 to now a whopping 661 dollar bill for a dent! That I didn't even cause!!!! 

 

I am beyond annoyed with this claim... This fraud! This is a horrible company all across North America. They cannot be trusted. I have read so many reports of these scams. I will not be paying for the damages. I will not be bullied by this company. I will not let them win. Anyone one else dealing with the same situation I agree you do the same. Don't let this company get the better of you. This is their game. This is how in the end they make a lot more money. This company should be exploited for what the continue to do to people across north america.
