First of all Enterprise isn't going to give any DM the final say in any matter that may have legal repercussions for the company. Secondly, what if the blowout was caused by improper tire servicing by Enterprise? Do you think the DM would admit to that? That would open up a BIG can of worms. All of their cars should have complete service records including the names of the techs/mechanics who performed the work and at what location and the service dates. A lawyer or law enforcement agency would have to subpoena Enterprise for the records on this car (unless they mysteriously disappear).
Quite honestly, you could have been killed, possibly due to negligence by an Enterprise employee. Go ahead and let your insurance company get the investigation going. That's what you pay them for. They love to sniff out fraudulent claims and they will get access to the cars service records to corroborate the details. If they decide to interview any current/former Enterprise service employees that would indicate they smell something funny with the claim. This could get real interesting........
