My friend and I wanted to take our grandaughters to Wicked when it plays here in Milwaukee in July 2010.  The tix won't be available till 6 weeks before the play.  Entertainment Publications SENT ME AN EMAIL saying I could order tickets early with the special member pricing.

I paid for 4 tickets and fees totaling close to $500.  The tickets came promptly, but guess what?  The face value with the fees was a little over $200.  I never said I would pay over double for tickets.  If I wanted scalper tickets I'd go on the street. I decided to go with an organization that I have been supporting and recommending for several years.

All I'm getting is the runaround. Pass the buck should be their motto. I've called, and called, emailed and emailed, provided all the ticket info many times, and now they're saying since I "didn't respond" to all their calls (wrong) I'd have to deal with the subcontractor they farm out the ticket sales to.  Oh really?  My online receipt says Entertainment on the top!

I sent a letter to the CEO listed on their website. (She was still listed there yesterday). She has "jumped ship", and she was the president also.  When I tried to reach a vice president I got a job application for that post which seems to have been on the website for a while now.  In effect no one is at the controls.  Wow--pretty scary for such a big organization.

If you are going to offer your loyal members a "deal", then don't farm them off to a subcontractor, who farms them off to another subcontractor and on and on.

The lesson is DON'T BUY TICKETS ON THEIR WEBSITE.  They could care LESS about supporting their members. Once they have your money it's too bad/ so sad.

We are rethinking the fund raiser at our parish school.  We think our hundreds of members would be interested in the company they're investing their money in every year.

Oh, and I'm not done with them yet.  I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK!  Hopefully I'll tarnish their reputation in the effort.
