This is to warn everyone of a scam being run by Ticketmaster in conjunction with Entertainment Rewards in Troy, MI.

I recently purchased some tickets to the Tarver/Johnson fight at the Fed-Ex Forum using Ticketmaster's website, I remember DECLINING the offer for Entertainment Rewards, yet a month later my credit card was charged $9 for their fictional service.

I not only declined this offer, I didn't know who these people were until I did a little research. Apparently, tons of people have been victimized the same way. I am going to call them tomorrow and demand a refund (I already cancelled the fradulent account) but wanted to report them here as well. If Ticketmaster if giving all of our information to a 3rd party INCLUDING BILLING DETAILS they also need action pursued against them.

THIS IS A SCAM ...I DID NOT CLICK ANY BUTTON OR LINK AFTER MY TICKETMASTER PURCHASE. I can prove this in a court of law with my DSL modem log

The rebuttals are totally incorrect in my case. I DID NOT CLICK ANY BUTTON OR LINK AFTER MY TICKETMASTER PURCHASE. I can prove this in a court of law with my DSL modem log for the date in question. Entertainment Rewards says otherwise and claims I must be mistaken. I know for a FACT I am NOT as the date/time of my ticket purchase was on a special day. I purposely delayed a family outing until the tickets I wanted went on sale. I logged into my ticketmast account using my password minutes before the tickets were released to the public. I made my purchase, recorded the transaction number, closed my browser and joined my family waiting for me at the door. The modem log supports my internet activities/purchases for that day that Entertainment Rewards claims I signed up and provided all my personal information. They never sent me an email as they claim they did (BY LAW) claiming Imust have some SPAM filters that sent it to my JUNK MAIL OR TRASH. For the record, I do NOT have any filters whatsoever and I have not deleted any emails for the last 6 months..not a single one. Folks, this is a SCAM and I feel tickemaster.com is behind it. They provided my personal info to this 3rd party, assuming they are a 3rd party and not affiliated with ticketmaster (I have my doubts). Entertainment rewards banks on the fact that MOST PEOPLE have bad memories, bad computer skills, No modem logs, and filters on their email. Well, they just got caught. I KNOW WHAT I DID and I KNOW WHAT I BOUGHT. I bought tickets only. BUSTED ENTERTAINMENT REWARDS. Thieves and liars are the rebuttals above. In my case, I can prove it EVERYTHING. I challenge ANYONE that can prove otherwise.

I recently purchased tickets from ticketmaster.com I too clicked the link for $25 off my next purchase. I made sure to read what exactly I was signing up for before entering my information. It is simple, you get $25 off you next ticketmaster.com purchase and a free 30 trial of entertainment.com. All you have to do is cancel your account before the 30 period is over and you can still get the $25! That sounds like a really good deal to me. I received my check within a couple weeks of my second purchase. So all these reports should be pulled from rip-offreport.com because when a customer doesn't take the time to read the details they shouldn't call the company a "scam" when they do EXACTLY what they told you before signing up.

You can blame the consumers all you want, this is a scam that Entertainment Rewards is running. Look at the sheer # of complaints here. If you search Google for "Entertainment Rewards" this site comes up before their web site does. I am not an idiot, hell, Im sure Im way more intelligent than the chumps working for this company making $7/hr to lie for their employers. SCAM!!!! Anyone who believes the corporate propoganda that is being spewed by the employees of this company is a fool. They commit credit card fraud daily and act like they are providing a service. DO NOT BE FOOLED. These people are crooks and are trying to get over on you.

I am a rep with Entertainment. When you made your purchase with ticketmaster you recieved a confirmation # for that ticket purchase Any one with a clue knows a confirmation # is a number given to them as proof of a purchase. STEP 1: Under the confirmation # it states and 1 quote "your ticket purchase is complete! Click her to recieve $10 or $25 dollars off your next purchase" TO WHICH A NEW WINDOW WILL OPEN UP INFRONT OF YOU (NOT A POP UP) WHICH TAKES UP ABOUT 3/4 OF YOUR SCREEN In this new window the top of the window states entertainment rewards with the entertainment logo We offer a 30 day free trail period in this window... The window is divided into 3 collums First collum is pertaining ato the benifts of joining this program and how it works. Second collum states in bold 14 font New York standard print and i qoute "By clicking yes sign me up, You agree to the following" First bullet: After your 30 day free trail had ended entertainment would begin billing you $7 or $9 amonth cancel anytime Second bullet: You give permission to ticket master to transfer your name address and billing information to entertainment rewards for billing after the 30 day free trial had ended Step 2: Third collum is where you had to enter your email address the first time by hand... Step 3: Your had to enter your email address a second by hand again folks {still with me, I know hard concept to grasp isn't it} Step 4: Click the "Yes sign me up button" That is the screen and the sign up process It is a four step process that you have to go through to sign up, everything was there in black and white, NO FINE PRINT, NO BOXES TO CHECK OR UNCHECK....AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO BOX TO DECLINE THIS OFFER IF YOU DID NOT WANT THIS OFFER YOU WOULD AND I DO MEAN DO HAVE TO CLICK THE X IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE WINDOW TO CLOSE THE WINDOW...THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO DECLINE THIS... I APPOLIGIZE TO ALL YOU WHO FOUND IT TO HARD TO READ SIMPLE ENGLISH AND SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM WITH OUT READING BEFORE READING. WE DO SEND OUT EMAILS.. EMAILS ARE AUTOMATICLY GENERATED BY A COMPUTER AS SOON AS YOUR EMAIL IS ENTERED INTO THE WEBSITE TWO TIMES AND SENT OUT TO YOU. PLEASE CHECK A BULK MAIL FOLDER FOR THE EMAIL THE ADDRESS WOULD BE FROM [email protected] PLEASE DO NOT SAY YOU NEVER RECIEVED THEM CAUSE WE KNOW WHEN YOU LIE TO US I HAVE MORE INFO THEN YOU CAN SHAKE A STICK AT. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE JUST HAVE YOUR CC CO OR BANK CALL US,VIA 3 WAY. I WOULD RATHER DEAL WITH YOUR BANK OR YOUR CC CO THEY ARE MUCH NICER TO SPEAK WITH. THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING ENTERTAINMENT REWARDS
