here is some advice based on experience with this company. never give them any sign that you have very important data on your damaged hard disk !! this will be the biggest mistake you make with them.

they have a habit of of taking advantage of their customers. first they claim that the first basic recovery didn't work so that they suck more money by going to the next step and try the advanced recovery. and remember one more thing, they will overcharge you for the parts too !!

and for the price ranges they have on their website, you will be charged the maximum regardless ! and you can not argue.

to tell the truth they are technically good, they can recover you data but they are so unprofessional and unethical because they will lie just to suck more money.

I understand your frustrations but have a different problem with this organization. (Just do it) 1) Yes they are expensive but who else can directly access a NAND flash memory wafer and remove the algorithm to recover data; well these guys can and yes it's not the same cost as cotton candy. 2) Yes it can be costly, but then again so can recovering data with any company when I myself was dumb enough not to have a backup. 3) Yes the parts are an extra cost but then again China makes different versions of devices by the hour so you get what you pay for from that side of the world. And to top it off the parts are the size of human hairs, so yes there is an additional cost, but less then the $53.00 is more then worth it. 4) Technically no one I found anywhere on earth could do what these guys did for me, saviors yes, cheap no; being an engineer though it's amazing there is a solution though when I had broken my device into 15 pieces or more running it over numerous times. (Pretty smart) In Short, I was stressed and did not want to pay more then .10 cents either but if the cost is over a few hundred bucks to get my white paper that took me 1 year to write and caused me 10 years of stress after running it over, well... yah if you just lost a few cotton candy recipes then the cost wont justify it, lol! Ya gotta love the high tech world.
