Did you begin at annualcreditreport.com then get a page with all three bureaus to click on, one at a time? I cannot recall if Equifax then tries to get you to subscribe to their credit monitoring, but you don't have to subscribe to get your yearly credit report. The reporting agencies do ask you a few questions pertaining to your credit report for verification. Also, make sure you remember your user name and password because they will ask you for it next year when you order your report. If one of your questions was pertaining to a mortgage, and you have never had one, was one of the answers "none of the above"? If not, then it looks like Equifax has an entry that shows as a mortgage and you definitely want to see it. Another idea is to order your report by phone and wait until it comes in the mail. If you began at annualcreditreport.com, you began in the right place.
