Erie Insurance POSSIBLE INSURANCE FRAUD Erie Pennsylvania
I have been with the Erie auto insurance group for over two years. Up until now, i have been happy with them. My auto insurance just came up for a renewal policy. In order for this to take place, Erie does a background check on you through some companies like LEXISNEXIS and ALL THREE OF THE MAJOR CREDIT REPORTING BUREAUS. They use this information in order to give you a RATING for your auto insurance price. Never have i had a claim with this company and according to Experian, i have good credit. Yet, for some unexplained reason that Erie can't tell me, my insurance rates have gone up quite high over the past two years that i have been with them. Phone calls to Eries customer service department haven't gone that well at all. It is all about there UNDERWRITING STAFF and how they RATE ones policy collected and based upon information collected in these reports from these companies. I did receive copies of this information for these companies and found a lot of ERRONEOUS Information contained inside these reports. Calls to LEXISNEXIS and the three major credit bureaus haven't helped me at all to have a lot of information removed from these reports. WHAT IS VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND, is why should your credit reports have any bearing on your insurance rates????? Auto insurance should be based only on if you have any CLAIMS with the company from auto accidents and tickets. In my case, this doesn't and isn't the problem at all as i have a very clean driving record. MY QUESTION TO ALL THAT DO READ THIS, IS THIS AN EXCUSE FOR YOUR AUTO INSURANCE TO INCREASE BY THEM????? IS THIS INSURANCE FRAUD JUST FOR THEM TO RAISE YOUR RATES????? Please respond if you have had this happen to you. P.S. From my experience, don't use Erie Auto Insurance for your insurance needs.
