ESBI Surprised to find that I was a member of their "services" Internet
My husband was reviewing our Embarq phone bill. Saw a charge from ESBI for 19.95 plus tax. Called Embarq, was told it was a "service" for voice mail. Now, we pay enough for these services, through Embarq, have an answering machine, and also, did not leave our senses at any time to have any such "service" added at such a monthly expense. Embarq told me I had to call ESBI myself to have charges removed, cancelled service, etc. So....I called. Spoke to someone, who finally after much coaxing, admitted to me his name, which I still doubt...Leo. I asked for a supervisor, he said he was it. I asked him about this charge, he said we approved it on 10/17/08 when we filled a survey. I told him this was impossible, that I have all these services and it was not needed or ever approved. He told me he would cancel the service. I asked for a credit, he refused because the month was almost over. I told him I just got the bill! (called him on 11/10..saw bill on 11/9 a Sunday). I told him I would contact the Attorney General he told me to go ahead. I also told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor, he said that he was it, and I explained that all supervisors have supervisors unless they own the company. He became arrogant with me, told me to go back in my computer history for 10/17 and see that we approved this service. I called Embarq after this call, they are blocking any 3rd party billing for my phone bill, and will charge ESBI for this bill. They will also issue us credit for the bill on my next statement as it is proven to be fraud. I went to the website, and when I searched for ESBI, it comes up as billview.com.
