Its intresting that Bowman makes himself sound like the victim. Everything said against etyres is true, its just a scam. If it was such a great franchise why are so many areas free. Buy an etyres franchise and it will change your life, but not for the better.
If after reading this you are still intrested ask them to provide a list of failed franchisees, I think that they will be reluctant to provide a real list. Ask for their numbers and call them. Speak with the current franchisees ask them what their costs really are ask them what they really make in sales margin after loan repayments etc, it wont be a pretty answer.
And if you are still tempted ask them what figures they will gaurantee, and in the unlikly event they do sugeest a guaranteed return get it in writing and as part of the contract, in fact make all the sales litrature part of the contract and dont fall foul of their exclusion clause. And now you have a gaurantee return ask for a personal gaurantee from them, being aware that Bowman has only just been discharged as a bankrupt so be get one of the others to sign it.
Finally think about the hours you will work for little or no return, the fitting times are on the web site, but you need to do your accounts, maintain equipment, order tyres, arrange returns, get rid of scrap tyres. You cant afford to pay anyone, so you will do it all.
So if you want to work for yourself, yes go for it, if you want to fit tyres for a living and be out in a van, get a job with kwik Fit or similar, you will get paid, take holidays and not be in debt.

I have no interest in playing games with you Tony Bowman.
You franchise is a rip off. You know this, I know this, your existing and past franchisees know this.
The ONLY people who might not realise what a rip off you are are the poor unsuspecting individual who may have some savings and wants to invest in a business, THIS is the person I care about.
IF I am a sad idiot who is using this site as a means to run a grudge against Etyres, then following my recommendations, talking to a LOT of existing franchisees, opening as a LTD. co. asking many people about the 5% deduction and showing contract to a solicitor BEFORE you sign, will draw the following results :
All franchisees will say the business is great!!
As a Ltd. Co. you will have some protection.
The 5% deduction is a figment of my imagination, and does not exist
Solicitor says this is a "Fine" contract.
The above will (of course) NOT HAPPEN!!
Bowman, 5% deductions, you COULD respond but I note you do not, potential investors note.
Bowman, Annual franchisee meetings, you do not (I note) claim that I am wrong, these do not exist!
Bowman, you are the worst kind of worm I know, ripping off the small savings investor for often all they have, ruining lives, families, homes, yet you appear so charming (pre signing of contract) so finally potential investor, ask this question of many (all) franchisees before you sign, did Bowman seem pleasant, charming and lovely pre signing of contract and then was he unpleasant, nasty, and downright unfair once signed up?
Training : people who have never fitted a tyre before have been given LESS than 8 hours "training" <driving round between 3 jobs> after changing about 8 tyres they are "qualified" as far as Etyres ar4e concerned, stories of wheels falling off are true! how long before some is hurt I wonder? this might just close Etyres down!

The person the wrote about this so called excellent company named etyres is absolutely correct. DO NOT enter any contracts or agreements with this company. The company should have a disclaimer carrying a heath warning. Everything this person has written about this company is true. Contact as many existing owners and try and get a hold of any previous owners you can. YOU WOULD BE AMAZED at what they will tell you. Tony Bowman is not a man to be trusted!!!

The person who wrote this has clearly lot the plot. It must be obvious to anyone that no agreement can prevent someone from telling the truth. In this particular case the etyres franchise agreement, which has changed slightly over the years to reflect changing methods and trading conditions, has never contained a clause that prevents disclosure within seven years, or for that matter, any time. The complainant obviously knows this because he or she presumably still has the agreement that they signed. Accordingly the complaint starts with an obvious untruth. And it continues throughout in the same manner.
It is impossible to reply in detail to the sort of non-specific issues that the complainant describes but the facts are that our very first franchise owners will soon have completed sixteen successful years with the business. In 2011 Etyres won the British Franchise Association, Franchisor of the Year bronze award. Franchise owners who started in the early months of 2011 have already made the transition to multi-van businesses. Two successful re-sales took place during 2011. Both businesses were immediately snapped up by neighbouring Franchise Owners who were keen to expand their businesses and were prepared to invest more money to do so. These people were not newcomers to the business. They had firsthand knowledge of what a solid and successful business this is. Every Franchise Owner who's agreement was due for a five-yearly renewal during 2011 has chosen to do so.
In spite of all that has been said it is very regrettable that anyone should be unhappy about how they have been treated. If the complainant is willing to contact the company directly with a genuine grievance they will receive a fair hearing.
