Yes you are right that check would have bounced much later on and you would have had to pay the bank back plus a fine. Just last week I got a similar check for $4880.00 saying I won a Lottery I never never entered and they wanted me to send a tax in for $2900 through Western Union and if I did it would be gone the check at the bank would bounce later on & I would have had to pay that bank back plus a fine. Yes plus they had a 900 number to call and they said it was sufficient funds but however that check was a stolen check from Masco and that contracting company never claimed there was a Lotto and yes you never get that much money for nothing without a catch and if I hadn't ripped the check and letter up and cashed that check in my bank account it would have ripped me out of my life savings. I just hope that the FBI catches up with them soon. Yes you are right its a scam from some fencing operation to get alot more money from people than what they send you.
