Exchange Corporation Canada Inc dba Ice Currency Service The rep lied about the Exchange Rate for the day of US$ and the sign stating No Comision. Cancun, Mexico
On May 12, 2011 at 13:49 pm I arrived at the Cancun, Mexico Int'l Airport and there was a big sign stating Best Exhchange Rate in Cancun 9.50 for US dollar - No Commission.
I asked the lady about that rate because I checked on line before I came to Mexico and she told me that according to Mexico law this was the highest rate allowed. I exchanged $100 US and later found out I not only was ripped off buy Exchange Corporation Canada Inc, but they were posting fake Int'l Exchange Rates at the airport and misleading travelers that this is a Bank or bank affiliated..
ECCI was located at Position 14 exiting the airport arrival section and my transaction was #23514000282009.
I complained at the airport Customer Service Desk, when I left but no one cared nor would do anything.
I was ripped-off in US$ of $15. The exchange rate for US@ on 5/12/11 was 11.07 (not 9.50)
