Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had a simple problem, which, due to their inaction, has become a BIG problem, to which I'm sure there will be no satisfaction.

I recently purchased a phone & phone plan from a local Cingular dealer. A few days later, went back to get my wife a phone and upgrade my plan. No big deal, until..... I thought I was dealing with a reputable company, but of course, I was wrong.

Along with my phones/plan, I purchased some accessories, a belt holster for my phone, a car charger, and a case for my wife's phone. During the purchase of my wife's case, she was unsure if she would like it, which was made clear to the sales people in the store, including the store manager. (The store in question is a Cingular dealer located @ 661 Blanding Blvd., suite 512, Orange Park, Fl 32084, 904-298-1172, manager is Richard Harris, email is: [email protected])

A few days later, we decided we didn't like the accessories, and I went to return them. It was then that the problem began. I was informed that there were NO RETURNS on accessories, a small fact that was left out during my initial purchases. I was furious, and in speaking with the manager, was informed, "It's right there on your receipt!".

I rebutted with the fact that I was NEVER informed of such, and the fact that it is on my receipt is a little bit late, since it's already bought! I questioned WHY that info was not told to me, ESPECIALLY since he was sitting right there when my wife expressed her indecision about her phone case, which of course, he talked her into. ---

Now reality has me understanding salesmen wanting to make a sale for the money, but good business practices say you inform the customer of the non-return policy--

Needless to say, I walked out of there disgusted. I went back a bit later to get their parent company info.

Executive Detail Plus, aka Cellular Express Plus, in Palm Bay, Florida.

I contacted them right away, and spoke with Amber, the customer service representative. She seemed very interested in my story, and vowed to "investigate" the situation, and return my call that same day. That was 5 days ago, and I have yet to hear from her.

A second call to her 2 days later, I was informed she was at lunch and would return my call. Three days later, still no word, so I called back again, this time I was placed on hold for 25 minutes, without anyone picking up. I hung up, called back, and got the company owner's name, Chris Kelly, and the customer service manager's name, Amber (go figure, the manager was the one blowing me off).

What kind of company is this??, all I wanted to do was return $60.00 worth of stuff I didn't want. What kind of company has a NO RETURN policy on items like this?? I can see no returns on software, but phone accessories?? That's absurd.

I HOPE ALL WHO READ THIS REALLY CHECK OUT THE COMPANIES YOU DEAL WITH, AND ANY COMPANY OWNED BY EXECUTIVE DETAIL PLUS, aka CELLULAR EXPRESS PLUS SHOULD BE WALKED PAST.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

This location is in an older industrial park which has many vacant buildings, and many for sale signs. Large lettering across the front window of the building states it is a used car company. A small homemade sign about 10 inches tall and maybe 16 inches wide is on the ground and leans against the roll-up door on the front of the building. On this small sign is lettering that reads "Cellular Express Plus", and there is an arrow on it pointing you to go to your left around the corner of the building. Once you turn the corner, you are walking on a narrow walkway that runs down the side of the building with bushes to your left that go all the way down to the back corner of building. When I had walked just part of the way down the side of the building, I began to feel like this would be a good spot for an ambush. The entry door to CEP must be clear in the back of the building. I did not go all the way around to find out because the setup is CREEPY. No one was on the premises, even though it was during work hours. There is a large mailbox set way out front at the street that has the lettering 260 North Drive. The headquarters for the Cellular Express Plus-owned stores could not be in a setting that more accurately reflects the way that they do business, in my experience.
