Expedia put together an itinerary for me, I spoke to an agent over the phone.
The flights seems too close together to transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick so I asked the agent if that was the case, she assured me that I could easily make it in time as the airports were right next to each other. This was not the case, the commute is at least an hour.
I also asked her if I could check my baggage all the way through to my final destination, she said yes. This was not the case, I had to collect it at Heathrow and take it to Gatwich where I was charged an additional 250 pounds for it.
The connecting flights did not have the legal amount of time allowed between them and as a result I missed my connection. Expedia refused to put me on the next flight.
Virgin and British Airways were the airlines and they were helpful but couldn't do anything because Expedia booked it. They both said the connection should have been 3 hours to make it in time.
Expedia blamed British Airways, and then Virgin saying that they owned the ticket and refused to help. I was standing at the Virgin Atlantic desk whilst she said this and offered to put her on to them, she refused. Then they told me it was my fault for giving the incorrect itinerary number when I booked in?? And then she told me I had plenty of time to make it, it was my fault I missed the flight.
At various points they admitted they'd made a mistake and that I'd been given the wrong information, so I stayed on hold as it seemed promising. But they she would come back on and say sorry there's nothing more I can do for you.
She then said she would book me onto the next flight, 10 hours later, but charge me the change over fee. I waited 7 hours for the flight desk to open, and found out that she had not booked me at all.
At this point I purchased another ticket.
This is only day 2 of my 3 week trip. Virgin advise me that every flight going forward has been incorrectly ticketed; Expedia will not confirm or deny this.
I don't know how I'm going to be able to afford to leave the country, I've already paid over $2,500 in airfares and accomodation with Expedia and I can't afford to pay again.
Expedia will not return my emails and won't help when I call.
I'm stranded in Europe.

that'll be a lesson for you. Why book with expedia? why not purchase directly from the ailrine. when you make the reservation with the airline they straighten things up at the counter. when you book through fraudsters like expedia you are in a hole. the airline doesn't give a dam. in they have a good reason not to help you. people just don't get it
