They are fraud, liers,trying to get you to book reservation by hook or crook, also having terms and conditions that you cannot cancel it after 24hrs.  Here is the thing. I called up Expedia and made the reservation, we were looking for pet friendly hotel. Initially expeida said the hotel charges 15$ for the pet. We asked them that other places i stayed would generally waived the fee. The expedia professional put me on hold and lied to me that they talked to the hotel mgr and said they waived $5 and would be happy with $10 extra for pet. Which assures that that they indeed contacted the hotel.

We reached their in the middle of the night at 12:00 and made sure that rooms would be available by calling them in advance and letting them know of our time of arrival. When we reached there the mgr was furious and initially said they would not accept any pets and wouldnt let us checkin, as "No pet policy"  was clearly mentioned in their website. This goes on to show how crooked they are. The hotel mgr did not show courtesy and did not let us check in, so we has to go to neared Ramada Inn.

We called Expedia for a refund and they said they could not give us a refund initially as we had agreed to they clauses. Later i was persistent enough and talked to the manager and threatend them to report the fraud to the FTC. Later they had to give in and agreed to refund the amount as it was my first time. More over i had to call them 2 times and they made me wait for an hour wasting my time and money.

Next time, if you go directly to the Hotels website, you can get the rooms at the same price that the TPI's are charging.  Most TPI's offer the Hotels Advance Purchase rates.  And on the hotels website you can see for yourself whats the policys.  Hope this helps you out next time.
