I recently traded in my car for a Mini Van at express credit auto. I have been a customer for over three years and only like six months to paying my car off when i decided to trade it in. I am a single mom of four kids and needed a bigger vehicle. I purchased the van for 12000.00 dollars and financed it for $385.00 a month. I am a home health nurse which requires a dependable vehicle because you travel all over the state. I had the van two weeks when it broke down. I had to have it towed to my mechanic here in Enid where I live. He ran a test on it and stated it was probably the fuel pump or the fuel filter. So Monday morning I called the dealership and told them what had happened. Everything is covered under warranty for the first thirty days of ownership. So I gave them my mechanics number and they called him and paid for the repairs. which was just the fuel filter, but when he was working on my van he checked everything and stated that the front axils and tie rods needed replaced. So I called back up to the dealership and they said I had to take it up to them in Oklahoma city so they could fix the axils and tie rods. I said ok. I made an appt. for the following friday at 8:30 I was suppose to drop it off and leave it until Saturday then pick it up. So I had to take off work Friday to take it up there. When I went to pick it up saturday it wasnt ready and it wouldnt be ready until Monday. So I was stranded at my brothers house until Monday with no vehicle. So I missed that day of work. When we went to pick it up Monday between 2 and 4 we got there at 4:30 and it still wasnt done. The service department manager was rude and cocky. He treated me awful. I walked out there in tears. So I call the general manager and talked to him about it he kinda just blew me off. So I told him that since I had missed so much work and had no vehicle he needed to make it right and defer my first payment. He said he would see what he could do.
I requested to talk to his supervisor his answer to that was "there is no one over me except the owner" so I asked for the owner's number he said that he couldnt give it to me. So I told him to give him my number for him to call me but of course the call never came. I continue to email the general manager about my payment the offer he gave me was $50.00 off my first payment. I told him no way. I didnt have the money to make the payment due to not working because of the van being broke down. I said I am a good customer and have been a customer for over three years and $50.00 is all I am worth. Forget it I dont want your fifty dollars I want to talk to the owner. So I decided I need to go public with this because obviously the owner is never going to call me and I guess I will contact an attorney to find out my rights. for all future customers of Express Credit Auto beware because loyalty means nothing to them and taking care of existing customers is not even in their vocabulary. I thought they would at least fix my van right they didnt even do that now it is knocking under the hood somewhere so I once again have contacted my mechanic.
