I contacted F1Contractors to complete small jobs at a property in which I was selling. On several occasions, Mr. Jay Luna made promises of completing the job with dates we agreed and specified. Mr. Luna spoke with my client the homeowner and instructed them deposit a total of $440.00 into his account for "materials". The total amount according to Mr. Luna's invoice was originally $185.00. Upon inspection, other items were requested to be repaired in which Mr. Luna agreed to complete. The total increased to well over $1000.00. The sellers were able to complete some of the requested repairs themselves and we asked him to adjust his invoice accordingly.  Out of the additional repairs, we were told that the additional items which included a window repair would be completed on the weekend of March 9th.

The weekend passed and I contacted Mr. Luna via email and text for status. I was told via text that the window part was on order but that the other items would be completed by the following weekend, 3/14/2014. He never showed up.  According to a sub contractor, he posted our job on Craig's list. He answered the ad with some kind of agreement with Mr. Luna. He showed up to do the work and before starting, he received a text message from Jay Luna stating they were fired by my client. He was terminated because upon arrival, my client Mr. Ly had questions about the job and so forth and he did not answer the calls or text. After the money was deposited, he never communicated with Mr. Ly. He and I called repeatedly and to no avail, no answer. The contrator then showed Mr. Ly and I a  crass text message about him divulging information and he was the cause of F1 being terminated. He also followed with a text message calling him an "a*s#$%"( we have the text messages).

Mr. Luna nor F1Contractors completed any work on the property although he collected funds. Several calls and text messages were placed to Mr.Luna who refused to respond. A demand for a refund of $440.00 was sent by the owner to Mr. Luna who gave him until today, March 25th to refund the $440.00. At this time and to date, Mr. Luna is refusing to refund the money. Today I received a random call from Mr. Luna that was very unprofessional. Mr. Luna stated he was "played". He went further stating the contractor presented a written statement that he completed the work in which that contractor denies. The contractor never met Mr. Luna nor was he under any employment agreement with F1Contractors. Mr. Luna lied about having a written statement from the sub contractor that he did complete the job. Upon contacting the sub contractor, he forwarded copies of the text messages and was suprised that Mr. Luna lied on him.  We have a paper trail of the circumstances that include text messages.

On today, March 25th I received text messages from Mr. Luna apologizing for his behavior and he attempted to ensure me that he would settle this matter with Mr. Ly. Later I received a call from Mr. Ly that he was going in circles with Mr. Luna ad that he has some very nasty unprofessional things to say about me which included a racial slur.

At this point it is imperative that no one else experiences this kind of unprofessionalism and dishonesty. Mr. Luna will pretend that he is professional and will work things out and flips and reduces to name calling and finger pointing. The Ly family is out of $640.00 for a $200 or less job.

I had a similar experience with Jay Luna and his company. My experience occured the week of August 18 2014. In my instance Mr Luna's company went by the name of F1 Builds. F1 Builds has the same phone number as F1 contractors and the same owner Mr. Jay Luna. He too had me deposit money into his account before the job was half done. The person that he sent to do the job was over his head, although he tried to do a good job of painting. The job was sloppy. Finally after much frustration Mr. Luna found someone on Craigs List to assist in completing the job. This is contradictory to what I was told when I hired Mr. Luna's company. I was told all the people doing the work were his employees. Not true! At the end of the last day there was a dispute between the painters and Mr. Luna. One of the painters being an employee and one being from Craigs list. Both people told me that Mr. Luna has not paid them and was not going to pay them. Mr Luna stopped returning their calls after giving them some derogatroy comments. I got on the phone with Mr Luna and Mr. Luna told me to tell them they were fired. This was riduculous and unprofessional behavior on the part of Mr. Luna. He also asked me if I wanted him to call the police. It was the craziest conversation I had ever had with a contractor. I did not have a probleme with the guys. They were trying. Mr. Luna was the problem. At that time I told Mr Luna that the conversation was over and I was done working with him. What ensued was name calling and poor behavior by Mr. Luna to the employees and threats to me. I would encourage all to stay away from this company. The work is not professional grade, Mr. Luna is not truthful, and his behavior to people he hires is irratic and unethical. I agree with the previous complaint. "At this point it is imperative that no one else experiences this kind of unprofessionalism and dishonesty. Mr. Luna will pretend that he is professional and will work things out and flips and reduces to name calling and finger pointing."
